In the Diablo 4 Season of the Furious Legions, a thrilling new narrative unfolds, leading up to the anticipated Vessel of Malice DLC. Similar to previous seasons, you’ll be required to start fresh with a brand-new character. You can either jump right into the additional content or revisit Diablo 4’s tale from its very beginning if you prefer.
If you’re a Diablo 4 novice unsure about your starting journey, we’ve got some helpful tips for you. Before considering bypassing the main storyline in Diablo 4 Season 5, here’s what you should know first.
Should you skip Diablo 4 campaign or not?
Instead of playing through the main campaign in Diablo 4’s Season of the Infernal Hordes, you can jump right into this season’s adventure by choosing to skip it. Just be aware that if you do so, you’ll encounter a lot of plot twists and secrets that were set up during the final events of the base game’s storyline, which could potentially spoil those elements for you.
Opting out of the primary storyline gives you instant access to the final game content, including the Tree of Whispers and World Bosses right from the start.
Instead, if you’re new to Diablo 4 or haven’t played the class you chose for your seasonal character, following the main storyline will provide a more gradual introduction to the game’s mechanics. This way, you’ll have an easier time learning how to develop your character, which will make transitioning to endgame content smoother.
How to skip campaign in Diablo 4
- In the main menu, choose the “Create new character” option.
- Select the class you wish to play in this season.
- Select and customize your character’s Body Type.
- Look for Gameplay Options and select “Skip Campaign.”
- Press “Start Game.”
- Pick the Seasonal Realm to go through the current season’s journey.
- Select your Difficulty.
To start playing Season 5, you’ll first need to create a new seasonal character. While doing so, you have the option to enable the Hardcore mode for permanent death. Additionally, you can select the Skip Campaign choice, which will transport you directly into the game’s open world.
