Completing Myths in Nioh 3 gives you rewards and helps you explore more of the game world by revealing hidden collectibles. If you’re aiming for the “Answering to the People” trophy/achievement, you’ll need to finish all the Myths, but don’t worry – you can complete them at any time, so none are permanently locked!
The side quest “Unwavering Hope” takes place in the Heian region of Nioh 3. This guide provides information about the quest and helps players make the best choice when reaching its conclusion.
How to Start Unwavering Hope Myth in Nioh 3
Once you arrive at the Horiike pond within the Arashiyama Shrine, located in Sagano, look east. You’ll see a spirit on a distant, icy hill. To reach it, head southwest, then continue south along the path to Nishiichi. Along the way, you can choose to defeat an enemy camp for extra rewards.
When you see the mermaids battling the bandits, glance to your left to find a temple mostly underwater. Jump onto the temple’s roof and cross to the other side to reach a Spirit Vein, which will allow you to ascend to the Lesser Crucible. Defeat the enemies and destroy the Crucible to open the way forward. Continue straight ahead, and you’ll find the spirit who will give you the next quest.
Where to Find Tsubaki in Nioh 3
The man is looking for someone named Tsubaki, and he’ll tell you that. Your map will show a small area to the west of where you started – that’s where you need to search. Be careful, though! A Yamainu is nearby, so take care of it before you search the body for clues.
After you’ve finished here, head northeast to check out the village. Be prepared for a few enemies, and be sure to search the bodies you find – they might have clues about where Tsubaki is. The spirit suggests looking for her at the temple, which is located to the northwest.
When you reach the temple, you’ll find a gruesome scene and a battle with Tsurara-onna will start. After you defeat the Yokai, a man will appear, suggesting Tsubaki had a motive. He’ll then give you the option to kill the Yokai or not.
Your rewards won’t change no matter what you decide, but you’ll earn extra coins and elixir by defeating her. If you spare her, the spirit will express its gratitude. However, if you choose to kill her, you’ll discover Tsubaki was actually searching for a cure, and the man will reveal she intended to harm others if left alive.

With this, the quest will be completed, and you will get Ninja’s Locks and Sasayuki.
