Alright, fellow gaming enthusiast and Silent Hill connoisseur, let me tell ya ’bout my recent escapade with the Brookhaven Hospital in Silent Hill 2 Remake! I tell ya, this game is one spooky trip down memory lane, and it’s not just the eerie atmosphere that’s got me hooked.
In the remake of Silent Hill 2, Brookhaven Hospital is an early significant location where you’ll frequently return as you search for Laura. While navigating through this area, you’ll encounter a notable entity known as “The Hand,” which can be found within the Director’s Office.
This can be quite a challenging puzzle that requires you to find 3 bracelets. The ones you are looking for are Marked, Bloodstained, and Filthy Bracelets. They are spread across the different sections of the first and third floors of the hospital.
How To Find The Marked Bracelet
The medical records, identified by a labeled bracelet, are actually located on the first floor; however, you’ll have to ascend to the second floor to reach it.
Head up to the second floor, find the Nurse’s Lounge there, and grab the L1 Key from inside. After that, move towards the L1 room located on the same floor.
In this area, maneuver the cart so it’s out of the way, allowing you to approach the window and enter the following room by climbing up to the first floor through the gap beneath.
Lastly, move beneath this passageway for accessing Medical Records. Look around near the bookcases beside the boxes to find your tagged identification band.
While you are in the Medical Room, be sure to check out the typewriter here. It is one of the many references to the original game. This particular one refers to the Louise Box.
How To Find The Bloodstained Bracelet
To retrieve the Bloodstained bracelet, you’ll need to first empty the pool and then strike the nearby wall using a close-combat weapon.
Speaking of melee weapons, you should check out this special one that the Remake decided to remove.
As a fan, I’ll head up to the second floor women’s locker room to grab the Bent Needle that’s tucked away inside the Teddy Bear.
After that, head towards the Dayroom located on the first floor to access the Pharmacy. Then, leap through the window to arrive at the Garden. (or) Afterward, proceed to the Dayroom on the first floor for the Pharmacy entrance. Subsequently, clear a jump over the window to find yourself in the Garden.
Continue to the Pool room, then go to the Shower room, where you can find the Medical Tube.
In your inventory, locate the Key Items section, then join the Medical Tube with the Bent Needle there. After that, head back to the Pharmacy and use your newly combined Medical Tube to retrieve the Maintenance key from the drain.
Head back to the Pool area, locate the Maintenance key, then use it to empty the water from the pool. After that, dive into the now-empty pool yourself. Lastly, make your way to the wall adorned with an eye graffiti and shatter it using physical attacks. You’ll find the Bloodstained bracelet hidden behind it.
How To Find The Filthy Bracelet
To get the Filthy bracelet, you have to access the D1 room on the third floor.
In this part, you’ll be asked to figure out the X-ray mystery. Fortunately, two essential X-rays for the task have been pre-positioned on the light box.
The third item is located on the table within the same room. Regarding the last X-ray, you’ll find it in the Treatment Room up on the second floor.
You need the Mold Remover, which can be found on the First floor Pantry, to be able to use it.
Align the 4 Radiographs using the marker lines on the lightbox to get the code: 4, 37, 12.
In harder problems, you won’t find as many guiding lines for hints, yet the same strategy or method used to solve them still applies.
Go back to the D1 lock and dial the above combination in the following order:
- 4 Right
- 37 Left
- 12 Right
Move into the adjacent room, engage with the bedsheet, and a scene will unfold showing James lifting it to reveal the grubby bracelet.
How To Solve The Hand Bracelet Puzzle In Silent Hill 2 Remake
Initially, place the three Bracelets on your Hand, arranging them in any sequence you prefer. Then, rotate these Bracelets so that the numbers on each one face the central part of your Hand.
Finally, you need to move the Bracelets to arrange them in the following order:
- Bloodstained Bracelet: 92
- Marked Bracelet: 45
- Filthy Bracelet: 71
After arranging them in the proper sequence, an animation will ensue, followed by the hand letting go of a key suitable for unlocking the Director’s Storage Room.
With this key, you’re now able to unlock the Director’s Secure Box leading to the Rooftop. Following that, a challenging battle with the boss is in store for you.
