As a huge Silent Hill fan, I’m so excited to finally hear that the Silent Hill 2 Remake is officially coming to Xbox Series X|S! And the best part? It’s already available to play, and it’s currently on sale for half price – what a deal!

The highly anticipated Silent Hill 2 Remake launched in 2024, developed jointly by Konami and Bloober Team. This reimagining of the beloved 2001 horror game puts you in the role of James Sutherland as he searches for his wife in the eerie town of Silent Hill. The game’s deeply unsettling story resonated with players then and continues to do so now, earning it numerous awards and positive reviews. Initially, it was only available on PlayStation 5 and Steam, but after speculation and a leak, it has now been confirmed that the remake is coming to Xbox, and it’s arriving sooner than expected.

The Xbox Store now lists Silent Hill 2 Remake, confirming it’s available on Xbox Series X|S. This listing came as a surprise, with no prior trailer or announcement. Currently, the full game appears to be available for purchase. The Standard Edition is normally $69.99 but is on sale for $34.99. You can also buy it together with Silent Hill f for $79.99.

Okay, so about that ‘Born from a Wish’ DLC everyone’s been hoping for… still no official word on it. I know a lot of us have been asking for it, but it’s just not happening yet. But hey, now that the game is on Xbox, I’m really hoping Bloober Team will take another look at Silent Hill 2 and finally give Maria the content she deserves. They’re already busy remaking the first Silent Hill game, which is awesome and will hopefully hold us over until we can all head back to that creepy, foggy town.
