Silent Hill Franchise Roadmap Teased By Insider

A significant insider hinted at a release timeline for the popular horror series, Silent Hill, extending up until 2028. Although the initial three games established themselves as iconic, fear-inducing masterpieces, some supporters felt that Konami failed to meet those high standards in subsequent titles. However, it seems that the future is bright for Silent Hill, and players can anticipate exciting new experiences in the years ahead.

As a diehard gamer, I’ve been eagerly waiting for updates from the creators of my favorite game series. They’ve hinted at several new projects in the pipeline, but details have been scarce on most of them. The upcoming installment of Silent Hill, titled “Silent Hill f,” has generated quite a buzz since its announcement for release in September 2025. However, another intriguing spin-off, Silent Hill: Townfall, was announced in 2022 with only a brief one-minute trailer to whet our appetite. While Konami’s been keeping their cards close to their chest about future releases, a recent leak has shed some light on the matter.

Dusk Golem, known for leaking information about horror games, shared on Twitter his predicted timeline for the Silent Hill series. Although he emphasized it’s just a guess and subject to change, the schedule suggests that Townfall will be released in 2026 following this year’s Silent Hill f. The Silent Hill remake Konami unveiled in June is expected to come out a year later, in 2027. Dusk Golem claims that Bloober Team started working on the remake around three years ago, which, if accurate, would align with a 2027 release and support the idea of a 2024 release for its Silent Hill 2 remake.

Leaker Teases the Release Timeline for the Next Four Silent Hill Games

  • 2025 – Silent Hill f
  • 2026 – Silent Hill Townfall
  • 2027 – Silent Hill 1 Remake
  • 2028 – Internal Silent Hill Game

Interestingly, Dusk Golem hints that an “internal SH game” might be released in 2028, suggesting it could be part of the main Silent Hill series as Konami is developing it themselves. Since both the Silent Hill remake and Townfall are being handled by external studios, this potential 2028 release could mark a long-awaited sequel in the series. As Silent Hill F has been confirmed as a standalone game, Konami’s next venture into the series might revisit the main timeline and continue the story from earlier titles.

People should consider this suggested schedule with some skepticism, as the tweets clarify that it’s more of an educated guess rather than a definitive plan. Konami has a history of altering its sequence, so future changes are possible, even if the current schedule appears accurate. Additionally, the original creator of Silent Hill is working on a new game, but specifics about the project remain scarce for now.
