A Sims 4 player has recreated the looks of Elphaba and Glinda from the Wicked movies, gaining attention with the recent release of ‘Wicked: For Good’ in theaters. The game is known for its extensive customization options, and this fan used those features to create impressive versions of these iconic Broadway characters.
Originally a series of novels by Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguié, Wicked reimagines The Wizard of Oz from the point of view of the Wicked Witch. It became a hugely popular Broadway musical in 2003, and was later adapted into a 2024 movie that only covered the first half of the story. Now, the cast of Wicked: For Good is back to finish the tale in theaters, with Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda taking center stage.
Sims 4 Player Makes Wicked: For Good’s Elphaba and Glinda
With the recent release of the second Wicked film, a creative fan used The Sims 4‘s character creation tools to recreate Elphaba and Glinda, the two main characters from the story, as Sims. Reddit user Lobrees shared pictures of both characters wearing different outfits. Since Elphaba and Glinda often prefer unique styles over traditional school uniforms, there were plenty of options to choose from. Lobrees created several looks for Elphaba, including the black dress she wears on her first day at Shiz University, the outfit from the library dance scene, and multiple versions featuring the iconic hat Glinda gives her, always with black as the dominant color.
Similar to how they’re portrayed in films, Glinda’s costumes are much more colorful and fashionable than Elphaba’s. The costume designer used a wider variety of styles to help viewers easily distinguish which movie each outfit is from. Glinda’s classic, crowned look especially references the 1939 film, The Wizard of Oz. While her later outfits are elaborate, many also recall iconic moments and songs from the first Wicked movie, like her looks from the “Dancing Through Life” and “What is This Feeling?” scenes.
This artist has created more than just Elphaba and Glinda for The Gallery. They’ve also made impressive recreations of characters from shows like Winx Club and K-Pop Demon Hunters. They’re clearly skilled gamers beyond The Sims, as they’ve included popular figures from the Mario universe, such as Peach, Wario, Waluigi, and Mario and Luigi themselves.
