Sims 4 Set to Outshine Disney Dreamlight Valley with Exciting New Fairy Feature!

I’m thrilled to see that the long-awaited feature might be coming to The Sims 4! As a dedicated member of the The Sims community, I’ve been vocal about what we want to see in this game. It’s exciting to witness how our advocacy has influenced the inclusion of features from past games into The Sims 4. EA and Maxis have shown great responsiveness to player feedback, consistently conducting polls since The Sims 4 was first released in 2014.

In relation to chats about The Sims 4, it’s not just player opinions that dominate. Quite frequently, leaks concerning The Sims 4 surface, often with expansion packs inadvertently appearing on various websites. If the latest rumor about The Sims 4 is accurate, not only will the game introduce a long-awaited feature, but it may also challenge one of its simulation genre rivals, Disney Dreamlight Valley, by venturing into its territory.

Fairies May Be Flying to The Sims 4

At present, The Sims 4 features seven distinct Occult classes: aliens, ghosts (available in the base game), mermaids, spellcasters, vampires, werewolves, and PlantSims. Many of these Occult types have been introduced through either Game or Expansion Packs. For instance, ghosts and PlantSims are part of the base game. It’s worth noting that accidental listings on online marketplaces are often the source of leaked DLC for The Sims 4. This appears to be the case with the rumored Enchanted By Nature Expansion Pack, which was accidentally listed on Instant Gaming. Alongside the suspected title of the pack, a few images and a description were also posted on the site.

The allure of the Enchanted By Nature Expansion Pack primarily lies in the anticipated inclusion of fairies, a feature that fans of The Sims series have long been asking for in The Sims 4. Similar to other Occult entities present in The Sims 4, fairies have previously appeared in the franchise through The Sims 3: Supernatural. This expansion pack had also introduced spellcasters and werewolves, and further developed vampires and ghosts in The Sims 3. Given that other Occult types from The Sims 3: Supernatural are already available in The Sims 4, the incorporation of fairies into the game was more a matter of “when” rather than “if.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Is Missing One of Its Biggest Players

Just like Simmers have longed for fairies in The Sims series, players of Disney Dreamlight Valley have also expressed a desire for fairies within this popular IP-based simulation game. Despite being newer to the scene compared to The Sims franchise, Disney Dreamlight Valley has shown a similar responsiveness to fan feedback, much like the team behind The Sims. It’s hard to believe that fairies haven’t been included in Disney Dreamlight Valley given Tinkerbell’s status as one of Disney’s iconic characters, second only to Stitch and Mickey Mouse. Interestingly, Disney Dreamlight Valley seems to be addressing this lack of fairy content by incorporating items related to the Disney Fairies franchise into the game via the Garden of Whimsy Star Path.

Despite The Sims 4 being rumored to introduce fairy characters before Disney Dreamlight Valley, there’s a prospect for fairies to be incorporated into Disney Dreamlight Valley soon. In fact, as early as November 2024, Gameloft unveiled the free content roadmap for the initial half of 2025 for Disney Dreamlight Valley. The first two images from this roadmap hinted at Aladdin, Jasmine, and characters from Alice in Wonderland joining the game’s lineup with its first two updates in 2025.

As a movie enthusiast, I must say that the theory that the third image of Skull Rock in the roadmap could pave the way for Peter Pan characters to join Disney Dreamlight Valley now seems more credible. Fingers crossed, Tinkerbell will swoop into the valley with the next update! However, The Sims 4 has a lead when it comes to fairy content, but Disney Dreamlight Valley doesn’t seem too far behind in catching up.
