Starting December 8, 2025, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium/Deluxe members will get immediate access to Devolver Digital’s Skate Story at no extra cost.
Recently, the main skating game everyone’s been talking about is EA’s Skate, especially after the announcement of its $40 cardboard Dead Space skin. But now, a new game is entering the scene, promising a unique and dreamlike skating experience.
Skate Story Has You Playing as a Demon Made of Glass and Pain
In addition to the PlayStation Plus news, a recent blog post gave players a first look at Skate Story. In this game, you play as a glass-and-pain-filled demon whose goal is to devour a strange planet. The catch? He can only travel there by skateboard, a gift from the Devil… with a hidden cost.
Players will skate through expansive, open areas, as well as tight, winding lanes, jumping over obstacles and through gates to complete challenges. The game features boss battles where dealing serious damage requires building up a combo by skating quickly and performing tricks. At the peak of the combo, players need to press a button while airborne before landing to unleash a powerful attack. The longer the trick combo, the more damage they’ll inflict.
Skate Story includes a customization area that acts as a central hub between levels. Here, players can personalize their skateboards using soul currency earned by landing tricks.
