Skate To Enter Early Access On September 16

Electronic Arts is set to invite gamers to San Vansterdam starting September 16, as the early access phase for Skate (which I dislike calling it by that title) kicks off. This announcement was made on social media today, and it follows several months of closed testing phases that have revealed a significant amount of the game’s content.

The Skate crew unveiled a brief teaser in excitement for the recent announcement. It’s been over 15 years since the last Skate game hit the market, and fans can hardly wait, feeling quite eager.

Skate Will Release in Early Access Next Month

Approximately two and a half weeks from now, Electronic Arts plans to launch Skate in an early access version. Earlier today, they shared a short preview video revealing its upcoming release date.

For several months now, enthusiasts have been extensively playing and assessing Skate (stylized as skate). This has led to an abundance of game content being shared online, providing us with a good preview of what we might encounter when San Vansterdam goes live on September 16, 2025.

Yesterday, the team unveiled the cover art for Skate, assuring us that the early access would be available starting today. Indeed, it appears they’ve kept their word and made the release available today.

In June, the most significant change yet to the playtest product was revealed, introducing additional obstacles and increasing the maximum number of players per map to 150. Even while in the testing phase, Skate boasted an impressive 140 challenges and events.

The full game could end up being something pretty monumental, scale-wise.
