Skopós: Rainbow Six Siege’s Next Operator Controls Two Full-Body Robots

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I must say that the introduction of Skopós to Rainbow Six Siege is nothing short of groundbreaking. Having grown up playing games from the early 2000s, I’ve witnessed characters evolve and push boundaries, but none quite like this Greek Operator.

Ubisoft has hinted at the arrival of a new character in Rainbow Six Siege, named Skopós. Originally a top-tier assassin from Greece, Skopós was gravely injured during combat and now relies on state-of-the-art wheelchair technology. In lieu of personally joining the fray, Skopós will deploy two advanced robots to execute her commands. Players can switch between these robots at will, adding a unique strategic element to gameplay.

In the game under discussion, the mechanics bear a resemblance to ‘Spectre Divide’, a newly unveiled next-generation first-person shooter. This game features a unique aspect where players control a single character and also their ‘spirit’ or ‘twin’, which can separate from the main character to perform different tasks independently.

Enter Skopós

Beyond the knowledge that Skopós is due to arrive during Operation Twin Shells, little is understood about her. Her moniker originates from the pair of robust and efficient robots she commands on the battlefield, named after the two robots themselves.

When a player chooses Skopós, they’ll be managing two robots. Once you take command of one, the other robot will automatically hide behind a protective shield on its own. At present, we’re unsure about the specifics of this distinctive Operator, but it’s easy to imagine how it might cause confusion for opposing players.

Some members of the community view this action as a misstep. Many criticize it as an effort to cater to disabled gamers, while others were unaware that Skopós manages robots. Consequently, some became upset upon discovering that the character they’re controlling is in a wheelchair.

Plenty is coming with Operation Twin Shells, from the new weapons to quality-of-life improvements.

Are you excited to assume control of Skopós?
