Earlier in February, when whispers about this game began to circulate, the developer clarified that regardless of their veracity, they had no bearing on the progress of Skyblivion, since the team was not focused on monetary gain. Furthermore, he expressed the opinion that an official remaster might only heighten fan anticipation for the comprehensive overhaul mod.

In late 2023, the developers gave an update on Skyblivion, demonstrating that most of its landscape, interiors, 3D models, and quests were already finished.
