Sledgehammer Games Planned to Have Halo Maps in Modern Warfare 3, It’s Claimed

Initially, Sledgehammer Games intended to incorporate an extensive Halo crossover into Modern Warfare 3, allowing certain Halo maps to appear within the Call of Duty gameplay.

Based on reports from sources like TheGhostOfHope, who appears to be active again and sharing information about Call of Duty once more, following a temporary hiatus.

In a recent update, Hope disclosed an exciting prospect: Sledgehammer Games intended to collaborate extensively on Halo with Modern Warfare III, thereby incorporating numerous maps from the Halo series.

A user known as Alaix, who is believed to be another leaker and dataminer, hinted at potentially revealing some screenshots from the collaboration they’ve been involved in by saying, “Perhaps one day I might be generous enough to show some of the screenshots I have from this project.

It’s fascinating to consider which maps, weapons, and outfits might have been included in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, as hinted by Alaix’s remarks, suggesting that designs and possibly some assets were indeed developed at one point.

In simpler terms, there’s a possibility that Microsoft might revisit similar partnerships with other companies like Activision Blizzard (the creators of Call of Duty) in the future. This decision could hinge on the success of the Call of Duty franchise and the level of interest such collaborations generate.

It’s not the first time rumors have circulated about Microsoft possibly combining Call of Duty with their other intellectual properties like Halo, DOOM, or Gears of War. Back in November 2024, whispers suggested that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 would include such collaborations. Although those rumors haven’t materialized yet, where there’s smoke, there might just be fire.
