As an ardent fan, I’m thrilled to share that SNK has unveiled a new studio, christened KOF Studio, dedicated solely to its legendary fighting games! This innovative team is tasked with nurturing and advancing the intellectual property of SNK’s fighting game franchise, aiming to bring even more excitement and evolution to our beloved gaming experiences.

The move comes alongside the 30th anniversary of the studio’s The King of Fighters franchise.

Ever since their debut in the 1990s, popular fighting game series like ‘Garou Densetsu’, ‘Samurai Shodown’, and ‘The King of Fighters’ have garnered affection from gaming enthusiasts across the globe,” SNK stated in its announcement.

As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that SNK has an array of games brewing within their esteemed franchises! Among them is the long-awaited Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, slated for release in April 2025 – marking the return of the series since Fatal Fury: First Contact back in 1999. Additionally, a brand new Samurai Shodown action RPG is currently being developed, setting the stage for more exhilarating adventures!

As a dedicated gamer who grew up playing The King of Fighters series, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia when thinking about the last game that was released in 2022. With no official word on when the next installment might drop, it’s been tough for me and other fans like myself to keep our excitement in check. We’ve come to expect nothing less than top-notch fighting action from this beloved franchise, and we eagerly await any news about its return.
