One topic that came up was who we might see in the next film, and I hinted at a character. As for who this character is, I revealed it’s Alex, another major figure in Minecraft, alongside Steve (Black). To put it simply, expect to see Steve and Alex taking center stage in any future installments without a shadow of a doubt. Alex is one of the two default player characters in the game, with Steve being the other one. She was introduced in 2014 as an additional default skin option, similar to Steve, who has no unique abilities. However, in other Minecraft games, they both appear as heroic figures.

Hess has shown enthusiasm for directing another Minecraft film, as he thoroughly enjoyed working on the initial project. In his words, “We had such a great time” during the making of the first movie.
