The third season of Solo Leveling is incredibly exciting for fans. The anime has already delivered two fantastic seasons packed with amazing battles, and the second season especially resonated with anime viewers.
An official release date for Solo Leveling Season 3 hasn’t been announced, but fans are eagerly awaiting news. The next season of the anime is expected to cover storylines that will finally explain some of the series’ most significant unanswered questions.

The Recruitment Arc
Will Introduce Norma Selner
- The arc won’t have too much action
Season three will probably begin by finishing the Recruitment Arc. The second season of Solo Leveling only covered a few chapters of this arc, leaving some story elements still to be shown. This arc includes the funeral of Min Byung-Gyu, a highly-ranked Hunter from Korea who passed away during the events on Jeju Island.
The ‘Recruitment Arc’ features Norma Selner, a representative of the American government. Her job is to enhance the abilities of Hunters, and she attempted to do so with Jinwoo. However, she was unsuccessful, and surprisingly, she seemed very upset after trying to assess his potential. It appears the rest of this story arc will be covered in just one episode.
Ahjin Guild Arc
Sung Jinwoo Officially Forms His Guild
- Jinwoo creates his guild
Following the events of the Recruitment Arc, the story will move into the Ahjin Guild Arc, where Sung Jinwoo works to build his own guild. A major hurdle for him was choosing the right name, but he ultimately decided on “Ahjin.” This arc also features more of Cha Hae-in, a character who has quickly become popular with viewers.
Many viewers were disappointed with Cha Hae-in’s performance during the Jeju Island storyline. She lost badly to Beru and was left severely injured by the Ant King. Jinwoo saved her life by transforming Min Byung-Gyu into a Shadow, who then used his abilities to heal her. The Ahjin Guild Arc features Jinwoo assisting another guild with a dangerous A-rank gate, and also includes a significant event involving Sung Jinah.
Double Dungeon Arc
Jinwoo Returns To Cartenon Temple
- The arc is dominated by the Architect
The Double Dungeon Arc is shaping up to be the most crucial part of Season 3. It centers around the Double Dungeon, the place where Jinwoo’s life was forever altered – it’s where the System selected him as a Player, granting him limitless potential. Through each battle, Jinwoo grows stronger, eventually surpassing all S-rank Hunters by the end of Season 2. His return to the Double Dungeon will be significant, revealing more about the System and the reasons behind his unique selection.
When Jinwoo reached Cartenon Temple, he encountered Kandiaru, the creator of the System. Despite knowing everything about it, Kandiaru didn’t simply tell Jinwoo the answers. Instead, he challenged Jinwoo with a test that he had to pass to uncover the truth. This arc also highlighted that even a powerful hunter like Jinwoo sometimes relies on luck. Plus, it introduced a new power-up for Jinwoo, making him even stronger. These elements combined make the Double Dungeon Arc particularly impressive.
Japan Crisis Arc
The Hero Saves Japan From A Major Disaster
- Japan relies on Jinwoo for its survival
We don’t yet know how long Season 3 will be, so it’s hard to say how many story arcs it will include. If the season is longer than past seasons, fans might get to see more arcs, including the exciting Japan Crisis Arc. This arc features Sung Jinwoo facing one of the most dangerous monster gates ever recorded. It sends him to Tokyo, Japan, where a particularly powerful gate appears. Normally, Japan would be able to handle this threat, but they’ve been weakened by a recent raid on Jeju Island, leaving them with very few top-level Hunters.
Yuri Orloff, a highly skilled Hunter, was hired by the Japanese government with a massive payment. He believed his defenses could handle any monster, but the giants proved him wrong, putting Japan in serious danger. Fortunately, Jinwoo arrived and defeated the monsters, saving the country and quickly becoming world-famous. While people in Korea already knew of his abilities, news of Jinwoo’s heroic actions spread globally. It’s expected that the storyline centered around this crisis in Japan will be the final part adapted into the third season of the animated series.
