Solo Leveling Author Has Already Revealed An Enemy More Dangerous Than The Monarchs

The world of Solo Leveling is full of incredibly dangerous creatures that could destroy countries. Throughout the first two seasons, viewers have witnessed many powerful monsters that Hunters had to defeat. Currently, the strongest monster Jinwoo has battled in Solo Leveling is Beru, the Ant King.

Jinwoo first encountered Beru on Jeju Island. Beru was solely focused on killing anyone who opposed him, and he had already killed multiple top-level (S-rank) Hunters from Japan. Despite his strength, Beru wasn’t powerful enough to rival the Monarchs.

Antares Is Stronger Than Most Monarchs

As a huge fan of Solo Leveling, I’ve always seen the Monarchs as the real big bads. They’re fascinating because, like the Rulers, they were actually made by the Supreme Being! And it turns out these two groups have been fighting for ages. The craziest part? The Rulers actually tried to get the Supreme Being to stop the fighting, but they discovered he didn’t care at all – he actually enjoyed the chaos! That revelation ultimately led to the Rulers making the ultimate decision and killing the Supreme Being themselves. It’s a seriously mind-blowing backstory!

The Monarchs were introduced in the second season of the anime, but they didn’t play a significant role at that time. Upcoming seasons will showcase their full potential, revealing just how powerful they are. However, the Monarchs aren’t all equally strong; a major difference in their power levels becomes apparent as the story progresses.

Antares is the most powerful of all the Monarchs, known as the Monarch of Destruction. He’s also called the King of Dragons and can command dragons like Kamish, who is considered the biggest threat humanity has ever faced. Kamish previously killed many top-level Hunters before being defeated by a team of National Level Hunters.

Antares was an incredibly powerful Monarch, far stronger than any of his peers. The only one who could possibly challenge him was the Shadow Monarch. He possessed almost unbeatable physical strength and defenses, making it nearly impossible to inflict any damage. His attacks were devastating, capable of instantly destroying even powerful Hunters. Simply put, Antares could easily defeat most characters from the Solo Leveling series, and even Sung Jinwoo was overwhelmed by his immense power.

Sung Jinwoo Vs. Antares Won’t Happen Until Season 5

Watching Antares, it’s clear he’s unbelievably powerful, and a battle with Sung Jinwoo would be incredible. Jinwoo has fought a lot of tough enemies, but none of them compare to Antares. This ‘Monarch of Destruction’ is a serious threat, but I don’t doubt Jinwoo will eventually face him in combat. Though, it looks like that fight won’t happen for quite some time.

Most fans expect Jinwoo to face Antares in season 5, as his current strength isn’t enough to defeat the King of Dragons. While Jinwoo was already more powerful than many top-tier (S-rank) Hunters by the end of season 2, he wasn’t quite at the level of powerful, nationally-recognized hunters like Thomas Andre and Christopher Reed, both of whom received special power from the Rulers.

Honestly, if Jinwoo had faced Antares or any of those higher-level threats back in Season 2, he would’ve been in serious trouble! It really highlights how much stronger he needs to get. He’s going to have to unlock some incredibly powerful Shadows to even have a chance against Antares. And when that fight finally gets animated? I’m telling you, it’s going to be epic! A-1 Pictures is known for their amazing work, and I have no doubt they’ll pull out all the stops to make this battle absolutely stunning.
