This article contains spoilers from Solo Leveling Season 2.
Solo Leveling is incredibly popular, as fans already know. The anime has consistently grown in popularity since its debut. Solo Leveling Season 1 established a high standard, but few anticipated the massive audience it gained after Season 2.
With how popular Solo Leveling Season 2 has been, it’s not surprising that it’s received many awards. Solo Leveling was also named Anime of the Year, and because the story is expected to improve even further, fans believe it will remain incredibly successful for a long time. However, another anime appears poised to challenge Solo Leveling’s dominance in the future.
Solo Leveling Swept Many Awards At Crunchyroll Awards

- Solo Leveling Won Anime Of The Year
- Some Fans Think It Is Undeserved
Earlier this year, Solo Leveling received numerous accolades, and many fans consider it the Anime of the Year. Although some viewers have different opinions on the winner, it’s clear that Solo Leveling made a bigger impression than any other series, and it’s currently one of the most-watched anime available. Fans widely recognize its popularity.
I stand as proof of the hardships you’ve faced, a testament to your fight, and the solace after your pain. I am Death, I am Eternal Rest, I am Terror. – Ashborn
Solo Leveling didn’t just take home the title of Anime of the Year, it also earned several other accolades, including Best New Series, Best Action, Best Main Character, Best Score, Best Ending Sequence, Best Voice Artist Performance (Brazilian Portuguese), Best Voice Artist Performance (Castilian Spanish), and Best Voice Artist Performance (English).

It’s obvious that Solo Leveling will likely continue to increase in popularity, but it’s still possible that another anime could surpass it in the future. That anime is Demon Slayer.
I will defend my family no matter what, even if it makes me an enemy to every hunter on Earth. – Sung Jinwoo
Solo Leveling Cannot Beat Demon Slayer’s Final Arcs
Demon Slayer Has Broken Far More Records Than Solo Leveling

As many fans are aware, Demon Slayer is a hugely popular anime series. When it was initially released, it quickly became as popular as Solo Leveling. Actually, Demon Slayer achieved even greater success, especially considering its Mugen Train movie shattered box office records in Japan – records that still stand today. Despite any awards it receives, Solo Leveling hasn‘t reached that same level of excitement and widespread popularity.
It’s important to know that the Demon Slayer anime is nearing its conclusion. The story will finish with three movies, and the first one has already come out. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle has proven more popular than Mugen Train, and the last movie is expected to set records that will be hard to beat for many years.

Solo Leveling is truly excellent, and it’s hard to argue with that, but it’s extremely unlikely to surpass Demon Slayer in popularity. Demon Slayer’s widespread appeal, strong story, and exciting action sequences are all superior. While Solo Leveling might seem like the best anime when Demon Slayer isn’t releasing new content, the upcoming movies will likely overshadow Jinwoo and the Hunters.
Currently, there are two seasons of Solo Leveling available: one has 12 episodes, and the other has 13, bringing the total to 25 episodes you can watch now. You can stream the series on Crunchyroll and keep an eye out for updates on a potential third season. If you’re eager for more content before season 3 arrives, reading the original Manhwa is a fantastic way to experience the story.
