The anime series *Solo Leveling* has become incredibly popular worldwide, arguably the biggest of the last two years. It even outperformed *Frieren* at this year’s Anime Awards, a significant accomplishment. While fans are eager for a third season, it doesn’t appear to be coming soon, particularly after the series was overlooked at the Aniplex Online Fest.
Many fans were hoping to see the *Solo Leveling* anime in 2026, so the delay is disappointing. However, while *Solo Leveling* won’t be released then, the highly anticipated Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen is confirmed to return instead.
Solo Leveling Season 3 Has Yet To Get Confirmed
- The Series Was Ignored During Aniplex Online Fest
- Fans Are Concerned For The Future of the Series
September 13th was highly anticipated by fans of *Solo Leveling*. The Aniplex Online Fest generated a lot of excitement, with many hoping it would include an announcement about Season 3, and some even speculated about a possible release date.
I can’t officially announce Season 3 yet, but we really need everyone’s support to make it happen. Just like Son Goku’s Spirit Bomb – which gathers energy from everyone to defeat his opponents – we need fans around the world to rally behind Solo Leveling if we want to create another season. – Atsushi Kaneko
The recent event was a major letdown for fans of *Solo Leveling*. It received no attention, with the focus instead being placed on other anime series. This has understandably worried fans about the future of *Solo Leveling*, though they can look forward to other promising anime like *Jujutsu Kaisen* in 2024.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Is Coming To Replace Solo Leveling In 2026

- JJK Season 3 Will Be Released Early 2026
- The Most Anticipated Anime of the Year
Although fans might be disappointed to hear that Season 3 of *Solo Leveling* probably won’t arrive until after 2026, 2026 is still shaping up to be an amazing year for anime. *Jujutsu Kaisen*, a hugely popular series, is returning with its most exciting season yet! Season 3 of *JJK* has been officially announced and will premiere in January 2026. This season will adapt the highly anticipated “Culling Game” arc, which promises battles even more epic than the famous fight between Jinwoo and the Ant King.

The upcoming season is expected to be incredibly popular, potentially surpassing the records currently held by Solo Leveling. While Solo Leveling is successful, it doesn’t quite reach the level of Jujutsu Kaisen (JJK), which is currently the most dominant anime and manga series.
“I think more than anyone, I am anxiously awaiting a Season 3! But in truth, between Season 1 and Season 2, 220,000 frames of animation were created. So, if it were up to me, I’d say let’s wait until the next Olympics (2028) to see what’s going to happen with a Season 3. But I think that’s more up to Kaneko and A-1 Pictures.” — Atsushi Kaneko
Currently, there are 25 episodes of *Solo Leveling* available – 12 from the first season and 13 from the second. You can watch both seasons on Crunchyroll. If you’re eager for more content before season 3 arrives, reading the original *Solo Leveling* Manhwa is a good way to continue the story.
