Solo Leveling Season 3 Will Confirm the Second Strongest Hunter After Jin-Woo

This article contains spoilers from the Solo Leveling manhwa.

Sung Jin-Woo is widely considered the strongest hunter in Solo Leveling. As the Shadow Monarch, he’s clearly the most powerful, easily earning him the top spot. No other hunter matches Jin-Woo’s overall abilities – he excels in everything from speed and strategy to sheer destructive power.

Everyone agrees Jin-Woo is the strongest hunter in Solo Leveling, but who comes in second has always been a question. I think when Solo Leveling Season 3 comes out and adapts some of the best parts of the story, we’ll finally get a clear answer as to who that second strongest hunter really is.

Sung Jin-Woo’s Powers Make Him the Strongest Hunter

Jin-Woo Stands Above All Hunters

  • Sung Jin-Woo is on his way to becoming the strongest being.
  • Sung Jin-Woo’s Shadow Monarch powers are unmatched.

Although Sung Jin-Woo is still improving, he’s already considered the strongest hunter in Korea. His incredible performance during the fourth Jeju Ant raid – specifically, clearing an S-level dungeon all by himself – proves he’s far more powerful than any other hunter currently active in Korea. Given his success on Jeju Island, it’s fair to say Jin-Woo is now a hunter of national importance.

Jin-Woo recently reached level 100 and gained a powerful new shadow ability, making him incredibly strong. He’s growing more powerful quickly, and seems destined to become the world’s strongest hunter – even a godlike being. Unless someone can stop his progress, he has the potential to completely reshape the world.

Becoming the Shadow Monarch has granted Jin-Woo incredible powers that put him far above other hunters. He can summon a powerful army of shadows and dramatically increase his own strength, speed, and resilience. This makes even the strongest hunters – those ranked S-class or national-level – seem weak in comparison, creating an imbalance of power.

Sung Il-Hwan Is the Second Strongest Hunter After Jin-Woo

Sung Il-Hwan Fights Monarchs

Although Sung Jin-Woo is predicted to become the world’s strongest hunter, his father, Sung Il-Hwan, is considered second best. Sung Il-Hwan used to be a firefighter before becoming a remarkably powerful hunter in Korea, though his exact ranking is unknown. Baek Yoon-Ho, a member of the White Tiger Guild, greatly admires him, while Hwang Dong-Soo from the Scavengers Guild strongly dislikes him.

Fans often debate who is the second strongest hunter in Solo Leveling, with Sung Il-Hwan and Thomas Andre being the main contenders. However, based on his expected performance in future story arcs, we believe Sung Il-Hwan deserves the title. He previously defeated Dong-Soo incredibly quickly, and Solo Leveling Season 3 will showcase an even more powerful version of him.

You will never rest in peace, even in death.—Sung Il-Hwan

While most hunters struggle even against magical beasts, Sung Il-Hwan is exceptional – he can battle two incredibly strong Monarchs simultaneously. What’s even more remarkable is his unwavering determination to defeat them, actively provoking a fierce fight and confidently dictating how it unfolds. He deliberately displays his power, almost as a taunt, all to safeguard his son.

Sung Il-Hwan Is Crucial to Jin-Woo’s Full Awakening

Sung Il-Hwan Is Jin-Woo’s Protector

Since his father, Sung Il-Hwan, vanished, Jin-Woo has faced incredible danger and survived countless life-threatening situations. While he appears resilient, having his father back would actually give him a significant edge in battles against tougher enemies. Sung Il-Hwan’s experience and understanding of powerful creatures make him uniquely qualified to help Jin-Woo overcome the most challenging fights.

As a huge fan of Solo Leveling, I’m really excited about what Sung Il-Hwan’s role will be! It seems like he’s absolutely key to Jin-Woo finally becoming the Shadow Monarch, and possibly beyond. Being Jin-Woo’s dad and such a powerful hunter himself, it’s his job to guide and protect him through this whole awakening process, especially with all the dangers coming his way. Seriously, fans like me are really looking forward to seeing Sung Il-Hwan back in action in Season 3 – I think he’s going to be a massive help to Jin-Woo!
