This article reveals details from Season 2 of Solo Leveling, so be warned! It focuses on the anime adaptation of Season 2, not the original webcomic (Manhwa).
Fans of *Solo Leveling* were thrilled with Season 2, which showed Jinwoo becoming even more powerful as he faced tougher opponents. He didn’t just get stronger, but also developed new skills, like the ability to control shadows. By the season’s end, Jinwoo appeared nearly invincible.
Jinwoo achieved Level 100 largely by easily defeating the Ant King, demonstrating incredible power. However, the story reveals there’s still one character already established who is stronger than him.
Sung Jinwoo Has Just Reached Level 100

- His Powers Are Immense
Honestly, the highlight of *Solo Leveling* Season 2 for me was definitely the Jeju Island arc! Seeing that raid against the Ants was just incredible. It was so intense watching all these S Rank Hunters get totally crushed, but then seeing Jinwoo hold his own… that was a real moment. It really showed what he was capable of!
Every time I get stronger, I feel I lose a part of myself. — Sung Jinwoo
Jinwoo even defeated the Ant King, gaining a new ability that let him win decisively. He reached level 100, becoming an elite hunter and gaining worldwide recognition, with offers coming in from the United States. However, even at this power level, Jinwoo wasn’t the strongest character in the series. Despite his incredible strength, Sung Il Hwan, his father, is currently far more powerful at the end of Season 2.
Don’t ever think of going near my family. — Sung Il Hwan
Sung Il Hwan Is Stronger Than Jinwoo Right Now
Jinwoo’s Dad Is Stronger Than National Level Hunters
Fans haven’t yet seen Sung Il Hwan’s full power, but even the brief display they witnessed suggests he’s stronger than most S-Rank Hunters. He easily defeated Dongsu with overwhelming force, demonstrating an incredibly high level of ability. Based on his reputation, he’s likely more powerful than all National Level Hunters as well. Currently, Jinwoo isn’t strong enough to compete, and in a fight, he would likely lose.
Jinwoo Will Surpass His Father
Even though Level 100 Jinwoo isn’t strong enough to defeat Sung Il Hwan right now, that won’t always be the case. Jinwoo is destined to become the most powerful character in the story, eventually surpassing his father. However, he still has a long way to go before reaching that level.
Currently, there are 25 episodes of Solo Leveling available – the first season has 12 episodes, and the second has 13. You can watch both seasons on Crunchyroll. While we wait for news about season 3, reading the original Manhwa is a great way to continue the story.
