This article contains spoilers from the Solo Leveling manhwa.
While Solo Leveling mainly focuses on Jin-Woo’s journey to become stronger, other powerful hunters also stand out. Cha Hae-In, an S-rank hunter, is a prime example. She’s widely recognized as the second-in-command of the Hunters Guild, working under Korea’s strongest hunter, Choi Jong-In.
Cha Hae-In isn’t as central to the story of *Solo Leveling* as Jin-Woo is. Unless the anime changes things and develops her character further, she risks being outshined. However, Season 3 of *Solo Leveling* looks like it will be the perfect moment for Cha Hae-In to have a significant fight against a strong and recognizable enemy. She has a past with this opponent, and Season 3 will finally give her the opportunity to resolve it.
Cha Hae-In Is the Most Powerful Female Hunter
No Female Hunter Comes Close to Cha Hae-In

- Cha Hae-In is a highly capable female S-rank hunter.
- Cha Hae-In needs an upgrade or a second awakening to grow stronger.
Though *Solo Leveling* features many skilled female hunters, Cha Hae-In stands far above the rest in terms of power, speed, magical ability, and overall skill. She seems naturally gifted, as if she was born to be an elite hunter. She’s an incredibly talented swordswoman who continues to push herself to get even better.
Cha Hae-In is widely considered the most powerful female hunter in the series. Even Kanae Tawata, a top-ranked Japanese hunter, wasn’t on her level in terms of strength and speed. Their brief but fierce fight clearly showed how difficult it is to defeat Cha Hae-In in a one-on-one battle, as she maintained control throughout the entire match.

Despite what fans might hope, Cha Hae-In in *Solo Leveling* has limitations to how strong she can become. Like most hunters, she can only improve so much, no matter how much she trains. While Norma Selner could potentially help her get stronger, her progress wouldn’t be as significant as Jin-Woo’s.
Cha Hae-In’s First Major Fight Will Happen in Season 3
Cha Hae-In’s Rematch With the Ant King Beru

- Cha Hae-In will fight Beru in the Ahjin Guild Arc.
- Cha Hae-In wants to fight by Jin-Woo’s side.
Honestly, I was pretty bummed with how Cha Hae-In performed during the Jeju Island arc in Solo Leveling Season 2. She started out as this incredible powerhouse, leading the charge against the Ant Queen and her babies, but then suddenly she needed Jin-Woo to save her! Everyone expected her to be the star of that raid, the one making the biggest impact, but the Ant King just… knocked her out! It was a real letdown after seeing her potential.
This experience made Cha Hae-In determined to become more powerful, prove herself, and fight alongside Jin-Woo. To reach his level, she urgently needs to join the Ahjin Guild before anyone else does. As part of her application process, she faced challenging trials against the shadow of the powerful Blood-Red Commander Igris, and later, the shadow of the Ant King, Beru. Though her opponents are incredibly strong, Cha Hae-In is ready to fight with everything she has.
This raid mission made me realize my own limitations.—Cha Hae-In
Cha Hae-In never gives up. Driven by her desire to escape the trauma of fighting the Ant King, she constantly strives to improve. While Jin-Woo sees her as somewhat impulsive, her bravery and strong will make her stand out among other female hunters. Regardless of the outcome of her fight with Beru, her commitment to pushing her boundaries will definitely leave a lasting impression on Jin-Woo.
Cha Hae-In Will Impress Jin-Woo With Her Strength
Cha Hae-In Will Also Fight Igris

After nearly dying on Jeju Island, it’s understandable that Sung Jin-Woo didn’t have high expectations for Cha Hae-In. He didn’t think she’d be much help, particularly in a one-on-one fight against his powerful shadow, Igris. But Cha Hae-In proved him wrong, demonstrating with every swing of her sword that she was strong and capable of fighting on her own.
During a battle with Igris in the Ahjin Guild Arc, Cha Hae-In showed off her incredible power by quickly defeating him. This forced Jin-Woo to send in his strongest monster, the Ant King Beru, to fight her next – a result Jin-Woo hadn’t anticipated, as he originally thought Igris would be a tough opponent for her in *Solo Leveling*.
