Fan Theories and Ideas

Fans actively participate in brainstorming sessions, proposing innovative concepts for new Monarch characters they’d love to see in the series. Given that Monarchs are primarily destructive entities, most fan ideas revolve around chaos and turmoil. Some intriguing fan-proposed Monarchs include The Despair Monarch, The Oblivion Monarch, and The Infinity Monarch, among others. However, some fans take a more imaginative approach, tying their unique Monarch characters to concepts such as ancient magical forces, sea monsters, and even colossal beings akin to mythological giants.
“I had several in plan before.
Monarch of Humanity. Someone who governs and decides the fate and shape of human civilisation.
Monarch of Elements. Someone who wields elemental spell like wind, fire earth and etc.
Supreme Master of Mystical Sciences or Cosmic Laws: A person with profound knowledge encompassing the workings of the cosmos, the basic principles of physics, and the binding forces that govern everything.
In the meantime, certain enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating a more distinct clash between the Monarchs and the Rulers. The thought is that if a fresh Monarch emerges, there should also be a new Ruler with contrasting skills to maintain power equilibrium. This idea could add depth to the existing mythology of Solo Leveling. However, these are merely speculations; it’s possible one of these theories could become reality and be incorporated into the storyline of Ragnarok.

The Monarchs and Their Successors
Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Reveals More Details

Contrary to assumptions that Suho, Jin-Woo’s son, would assume the role of the Shadow Monarch due to inheriting his father’s powers, it is in fact him who is set to become the next Monarch of Destruction. Interestingly, Esil, a character well-known from the Demon Castle Return storyline, is believed to ascend as the White Flames Monarch. Currently, other potential successors include Sirka, Gray, Arsha, and Ammut, but keep in mind that titles held by the Monarchs might not remain constant as their roles evolve along with their powers.
So, Could an Unknown Monarch Be Hiding in the Shadows?
The Possibilities Are Endless

To date, the initial roster consists of nine monarchs; however, when you consider successors and newly claimed titles, fans are introduced to a grand total of 12 identified monarchs. Among these newcomers are the Monarch of Greed, the Monarch of Nightmares, and the Monarch of Tribulations. By the conclusion of Solo Leveling, Jin-Woo merged with the Shadow Monarch, employing his abilities to pursue the remaining monarchs in a bid to safeguard the world for an extended period. All other monarchs, even the most powerful among them, were unable to vanquish Jin-Woo, leading to their defeat at the hands of this exceptional hunter.
Despite this, it doesn’t rule out the possibility that a new monarch might rise. As the tale of Solo Leveling continues to unfold, there remains the potential for a new monarch who could challenge Jin-Woo, perhaps even his son Suho. It’s even plausible that a new group of monarchs could appear, potentially crafted by another god-like entity aiming to test Jin-Woo and the next generation’s skills.
