Solo Leveling: Sung Jinwoo Is God Level, But 1 More Character Shares This Title With Him

This article contains spoilers for the Solo Leveling manhwa.

Season 2 of *Solo Leveling* finished earlier this year, and viewers are eager for the next installment. Since there’s been no news about a Season 3, and the wait is expected to be a lengthy one, fans are now focusing on the original *Solo Leveling* manhwa instead.

Fans of the manhwa *Solo Leveling* know that Jinwoo becomes unbelievably powerful as the story progresses, and even people who haven’t read it are aware of this. He’s steadily approaching god-like strength, but he isn’t the only character in the series who could be considered on that level. Several others within the world of *Solo Leveling* are equally deserving of the title.

Jinwoo Is A God Level Fighter In Solo Leveling

  • Jinwoo Can Level Up Continuously
  • He Is The Shadow Monarch

It’s well known that Sung Jinwoo is an incredibly powerful fighter, essentially at a god-like level. From the moment he gained the System’s power, fans have seen his immense strength and constant growth. Unlike other hunters who are limited by their rank, Jinwoo continues to surpass expectations, as evidenced by his rapid progression throughout the story.

I bear witness to your hardships, prove your strength, and offer solace after pain. I am Death, and with me comes lasting peace, though I am also the source of fear – I am Ashborn.

At the beginning of Solo Leveling Season 1, Jinwoo was quite weak, even compared to other Hunters. However, as he gained experience and leveled up, he rapidly grew in power, eventually becoming strong enough to challenge and defeat A-Rank enemies. By the end of the season, he was even capable of defeating S-Rank enemies. In Season 2, he demonstrated his incredible growth by defeating the Ant King, a monster considered more powerful than most S-Rank Hunters.

Jinwoo is exceptionally powerful on his own, but what truly sets him apart is his ability as the Shadow Monarch – he can summon and command the shadows of those who have fallen. Considering all of his abilities, he’s clearly at a God Level, particularly later in the story. However, he isn’t the only one with such immense strength; Antares is also incredibly powerful.

I’m really excited about the possibility of a Season 3, perhaps even more than most fans! Creating Season 1 and 2 involved a huge amount of work – over 220,000 animated frames. If I had my way, we’d take the time to make Season 3 truly special and aim for a release around the 2028 Olympics. However, the decision ultimately rests with Kaneko and A-1 Pictures.”

I’ll do anything to keep my family safe, even if it makes me an enemy to every hunter in the world. – Sung Jinwoo

Antares Is Also Among The Strongest

The Monarch Of Destruction Is A Monster

It’s clear that Sung Jinwoo earns the title of strongest in *Solo Leveling*, ultimately becoming the most powerful character. However, his greatest challenge is Antares, known as both the Monarch of Destruction and the King of Dragons. Antares is significantly stronger than Sung Jinwoo as he is currently portrayed in the anime.

Jinwoo Struggles Vs Antares At First

Even with extensive training and increased power, it’s incredibly difficult for Jinwoo to reach Antares’s level, which is what makes Antares so remarkable. His skills are a clear demonstration of his power – he can not only defeat Jinwoo in a battle of skill and match his speed, but also completely obliterate shadows using his Breath of Destruction. This proves he truly deserves the God Level title.

I can’t officially announce Season 3 yet, but we really need everyone’s support to make it happen. Just like Son Goku’s Spirit Bomb – which gathers energy from everyone to overcome challenges – the success of Solo Leveling Season 3 depends on fans around the world getting behind the series. – Atsushi Kaneko
