This article contains spoilers for the Sailor Moon and Solo Leveling series.
I’ve been watching the anime *Solo Leveling*, and the main character, Sung Jinwoo, is really captivating. It’s no surprise he was voted the best protagonist of 2025! What draws people to him, I think, is a combination of his calm, reserved personality and his incredible power in battle. It’s just really satisfying to watch him take down his opponents and completely overpower everything in his path.
By the end of *Solo Leveling*, Sung Jinwoo is incredibly powerful – the strongest in his world, in fact. However, many characters from other anime and manga could defeat him. Sailor Moon, also known as Usagi, is one example of someone who could win against him.
Sailor Moon is One Of The Most Overpowered Anime Characters Ever
Her Strength Is Far Stronger Than The Likes of Sung Jinwoo

When people talk about shoujo anime, nothing quite measures up to *Sailor Moon*. It truly changed the genre and is still the most popular shoujo series of all time. It’s a shame that when fans debate character power levels, they often forget about shoujo characters. Many of the strongest characters in anime and manga actually come from this genre, and Sailor Moon is a perfect illustration of that power.

Sailor Moon is incredibly powerful, eventually reaching a god-like status in the manga. Throughout the series, she performs amazing feats, including resetting the entire universe and bringing people back to life. Surprisingly, that’s not even her full potential! Sailor Moon becomes even stronger as Sailor Cosmos in the future. In this form, she’s shown to be vastly more powerful than characters like Jinwoo and even Goku.
Jinwoo is Stronger In The Manhwa Then His Anime Counterpart
He Is Still Beaten by Many Anime Characters

Viewers enjoying the Solo Leveling anime may be surprised by just how powerful Jinwoo will become. Currently, he’s still developing his abilities and isn’t nearly as strong as he will be later in the story. Although he can now control shadows, his current power level is relatively low, even when compared to other characters within the anime. He’s a long way from being the most powerful Monarch, but each new season promises to showcase his growing strength.
In the series Solo Leveling, the protagonist is expected to gain the Black Heart ability from Ashborn, transforming him into the True Shadow Monarch and setting him on a path to become incredibly powerful. Despite this significant boost, he still wouldn’t be as strong as the most powerful characters in anime, like Sailor Moon or Son Goku.

Currently, there are 25 episodes of Solo Leveling available – 12 from the first season and 13 from the second. You can watch both seasons on Crunchyroll. If you’re eager for more content before season 3 arrives, reading the original manhwa is a good way to continue the story.
