Some players of *Silent Hill f* on Steam have been unexpectedly given access to content meant for those who pre-ordered or bought the Deluxe Edition. Konami is fixing this issue, so players with the Standard Edition shouldn’t expect to keep the extra content for much longer and should enjoy it while they can.
Silent Hill f launched on September 25th, but those who bought the Deluxe Edition got to play two days early. The Deluxe Edition also included extra perks like the game’s soundtrack, a digital art book showcasing the game’s design, and a special pink rabbit costume for the main character, Hinako.
Konami is Taking Back Silent Hill f Bonus Content from Some Players
Konami has discovered an issue where some Steam players who only bought the standard version of the game mistakenly received extra content, including pre-order bonuses from *Silent Hill f* like costumes and item packs. Konami posted about this on the official *Silent Hill* Twitter account, explaining they’re working on a fix to remove the incorrect content, and a patch is coming soon.
As a big fan, I’ve been following the launch of *Silent Hill f* closely, and it hasn’t been smooth sailing. About a week before the game was *supposed* to come out, copies started showing up at people’s doors! Now, Konami isn’t directly to blame for that, but it was really frustrating for those of us who were counting down the days to play on release day. We were all worried about spoilers leaking from people getting the game early, and honestly, it put a damper on the excitement.
Some fans were upset about losing access to extra content, but the bigger reaction was players asking for fixes to problems with *Silent Hill f* on the PlayStation 5 Pro. Before the game even came out, people reported issues with the PS5 Pro’s AI upscaling, which caused flickering graphics. The recent announcement gave players a chance to voice their complaints about other bugs too, like inconsistent character movement and visual glitches – one person even shared a picture of a character with strangely stretched legs.
