BlakePS Gives His Insight On What Competing In-Person Is Like
If you’re familiar with Fortnite, you know that BlakePS is among the greatest of all time (GOAT). This player has been active for quite some time, earning a top spot in Fortnite’s history as one of its most competitive players. Recently, he shared his experiences from competing in person, offering insights from the sidelines.
In his interview with well-known Fortnite influencer Leven2k, Blake commented that “The majority of these players up here are seasoned veterans,” indicating that he didn’t believe their nerves were significantly impacting their performance.
Previously, Blake has participated in numerous LAN competitions, which provides him with the sought-after experience that many gamers aspire to have when they enter big tournaments like these.
For those who are newcomers, similar to the previous LAN qualifiers, they might find their initial match a bit overwhelming, but as soon as they arrive at the map, they’ll get the hang of things. Their nerves will settle and they’ll be focused, prepared to claim victory.
In Fortnite tournaments, a significant number of competitors are relatively young, often around their mid-teens. For many of them, this is likely the largest event they’ve ever participated in, where they present themselves to an audience.

Next to BlakePS, there was the well-known Fortnite streamer, Sommerset, who expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming Fortnite Globals and gave some details about an event of her own that was approaching.
Sommerset was feeling a mix of tension, joy, and anticipation; it’s hard to put a finger on it. Perhaps all these feelings describe my current state, as I ponder over the Global competition and my personal Fortnite tournament approaching,” Sommerset shared in conversation.
Beyond the tension, Sommerset eagerly shared her enthusiasm for the ongoing Global event.
