You can shoot Flaming Arrows using either a homemade bow or a modern one. To ignite the arrow, you can use a lighter or a pre-lit flame. When the Flaming Arrow hits an enemy, it causes them to catch fire, dealing damage over time. As the enemy is on fire, they will briefly stop moving and flail around, providing a short moment for you to move closer and eliminate them.

This method works exceptionally well against both Finger-type enemies and swift Caterpillar Mutants. Since they don’t detect individuals closely, it’s simple to take them out from afar with a crossbow. Virginia’s parents, Edward and Barbara, make an appearance as boss characters in the game, and just like any other enemy, they can be defeated using a crossbow.

You can enhance the Cross using six Solafite, which slightly boosts its power. Obtain Solafite by mining it with a Pickaxe or a Solafite Generator; this valuable resource is not exclusive to the Cross upgrade but can improve several weapons.

Solafite enhances weapons such as Axes, Katanas, Pistols, Revolvers, Shotguns, and others. Since Demons won’t show up until later in the game, there’s no need to hastily search for a Cross right away. However, as the player delves deeper into caves, it’s beneficial to remember that the Cross can save on ammo expenditure.
