The instant you turn on your PlayStation console and the DualSense controller’s signature blue light comes on, you know you’re about to experience something amazing. That glow is designed to pull you into incredible game worlds. We chose a shade of blue inspired by classic PlayStation consoles to create a feeling of excitement and discovery every time you play. As a tribute to our Japanese roots, we’ve also included the PlayStation name written in Katakana characters on the back of the controller: Pureisutēshon.

As a gamer, I’m really excited about the new Icon Blue Special Edition DualSense controller! It’s got everything I love about the regular DualSense – the immersive haptic feedback, those awesome adaptive triggers, and even a built-in mic. The best part? It’s priced at $84.99 USD, $109.99 CAD, $1,899 MXN, or $93,490 CLP, depending on where you are.
Along with the announcement of the new controller, PlayStation revealed a bunch of fun products that will be available soon. These include an Astro Bot lunch box with a changing face, figures based on the Twisted Metal game, a PlayStation baseball jersey, a mini backpack inspired by Ellie’s from The Last of Us, and backpack clips with different PlayStation characters like Atsu from Ghost of Yotei, Jak, and Sly Cooper. All of these items will be sold online at Walmart in the US, but details about when they’ll be available and how much they’ll cost haven’t been announced yet.
PlayStation 5 owners can now personalize their DualSense controllers with designs inspired by popular games. Several limited edition controllers are available or coming soon, including special versions celebrating the 20th anniversary of God of War, the charming Astro Bot design, and striking looks based on Ghost of Tsushima and Death Stranding 2. Plus, a new Icon Blue Special Edition controller is launching soon, giving players even more ways to show off their gaming passion.
