The upcoming significant overhaul for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, as announced by Saber Interactive, is scheduled to launch on June 26 across all gaming platforms. In addition to the update, players can enjoy a fresh game mode at no cost, and there will be new cosmetic items available too.
Here is a trailer available now, offering a glimpse into the latest feature, along with a general idea of what we can anticipate.
Space Marine 2’s Siege Mode Will Have You Fighting Against Impossible Odds
Starting from June 26, the latest Siege mode is offering a fresh Player versus Environment (PvE) adventure at no cost. The action unfolds on Kadaku, where three combatants join forces to overpower successive waves of Tyranid and Chaos troops.
Prepare to stand your ground and survive as long as you can against an endless wave of enemies.
On June 4, players using computers can start playing the mode on our Public Test Server (PTS). Further information about this will be shared at a future time.
In Patch 8, a new feature will be added, and this update will also offer fresh material exclusively for players who have purchased the Ultra Edition, Gold Edition, or possess the Season Pass. The upcoming content that’s planned for release includes:
- The White Scars Chapter Pack – Includes a new Champion skin for the Assault class; three exclusive White Scars–inspired weapon skins for the Occulus Bolt Carbine, Stalker Bolt Rifle, and Combat Knife. There will also be new cosmetic options and heraldry markings for their Successor Chapters
- The Blood Angels Cosmetic Pack – Will add a number of new armor pieces to be equipped on any of the game’s playable classes, in addition to heraldry markings celebrating eight of the Blood Angels’ Successor Chapters.
In the latest significant update, expect a blend of adjustments to the balance, bug corrections, and enhancements, just as you’re accustomed to.
In simple terms, the recent Siege Mode update for Space Marine 2 is a free addition, much like the previous Trygon patch, which introduced a new beast and various other enhancements. These updates are available to everyone who owns the game, irrespective of whether they have the standard or special edition.
Last year, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 stood out as an unexpected hit, exceeding the predictions. On Open Critic, it garnered a robust “Strong” rating from 160 critics, a difficult accomplishment indeed.
Previously, Saber Interactive assured gamers that they would deliver free content additions for the game, ensuring that no in-game features or content would be confined within a paid barrier (paywall).
