As a dedicated gamer, I’ve got to say, it’s quite peculiar that the Space Marine Master Crafted Edition is only making its debut on Xbox and PC at launch, with no sign of the PlayStation 5 in the remaster’s unveiling. You might remember that the original 2011 game was a hit on the PlayStation 3, and Space Marine 2, too, graced multiple platforms. The question is, is the PS5 version missing from the picture due to some exclusive deal with Xbox and Game Pass, or has it encountered some issues and will be released later? For now, this Master Crafted Edition appears to be a fantastic opportunity for gamers who held off on Space Marine 2, never having experienced the original. Now, they can dive right into the duology without hunting down an old Xbox 360 or PS3 copy of Space Marine.

It’s not surprising that Space Marine 3 has been confirmed given the tremendous success of Space Marine 2, and it’s being developed by Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment. At present, Saber is working on a variety of games including Jurassic Park Survival, Turok: Origins, and the long-awaited Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake. Given their current workload, it’s unlikely that Warhammer fans will see Space Marine 3 for several more years.
