Spider-Man: Two continues to be a standout among comic book films. A specific moment in it, especially, resonates deeply – and Tobey Maguire’s performance during that scene is truly exceptional (even though some lists may disagree). Interestingly enough, after nearly two decades, LEGO has chosen to honor the iconic subway train sequence from the movie with the release of the Spider-Man vs. Doc Ock Subway Train Scene set.
Apart from the Subway Train Scene, two more LEGO sets featuring Spider-Man are also set to release this summer. The Spider-Man vs. Oscorp set boasts some fantastic features, and the Iron Spider-Man Bust is a terrific set that would make for a neat decorative addition.
LEGO Spider-Man vs. Doc Ock Subway Train Scene
393 pieces.
This Spider-Man vs. Doc Ock Subway Train Set isn’t an exact reenactment of the Spider-Man 2 scene, but it provides a delightful retelling instead. In this rendition, Peter is stationed at the front of the subway train with webbing stretched on either side. Unlike in the film, the unmasked Spider-Man figure appears to be enjoying himself rather than showing pain or discomfort.
The suit on the minifigure has been torn, much like in the movie. Additionally, you can interchange heads to switch between masked and unmasked versions of the character.
With fewer than 400 pieces, this LEGO set seems suitable for many children, although LEGO suggests ages nine and above. The Doc Ock minifigure is impressively designed and closely resembles Alfred Molina’s character. However, it’s puzzling as to why the minifigures of Aunt May and J. Jonah Jameson are included, as they bear a strong resemblance to Rosemary Harris and J.K. Simmons, respectively.
LEGO Iron Spider-Man Bust
379 pieces.
Among these three Spider-Man figurines, the Iron Spider-Man Bust could very well be the most impressive choice. Once assembled from its 379 pieces, it would serve as a fantastic addition to your decor. Nevertheless, it should be noted that it might appear smaller than anticipated upon arrival.
All three of the new LEGO Spider-Man sets will release on August 1st.
The Iron Spider-Man Statue features articulated robotic limbs, allowing you to adjust its head to face any desired direction. The package also includes two swap-out stands and a corresponding miniature figure for display alongside it.
LEGO Spider-Man vs. Oscorp
808 pieces.
The Spider-Man vs Oscorp playset is quite bustling, jam-packed with various accessories such as a motorbike, weapons, a glider, and numerous other items. It’s an engaging set that boasts a substantial collection of minifigures. This set includes the following characters:
- Spider-Man
- Spider-Woman
- Miles Morales
- Eddie Brock
- Ghost-Spider
- Norman Osborn
- Kraven the Hunter
- Green Goblin
The setting is an urban layout featuring three structures: one is Miles’ apartment tower, perched above a jeweler’s shop; second is the Oscorp building; third is Venom’s residential space over a convenience store. The completed model stands at a height of 18 inches, stretches 14 inches across, and is 3.5 inches deep.
