The Spire of Clockwork is a mid-game area in Crimson Desert, located in the Demeniss region. You’ll find it locked when you first discover it, but completing certain main story quests will unlock it. This guide will walk you through how to enter and finish the Spire of Clockwork, ultimately leading you to the Abyss.

Where to Find the Key to the Spire of Clockwork in Crimson Desert

To unlock the Spire of Clockwork in Crimson Desert, you’ll first need to find a key. You can earn this key by completing Chapter 8: Blood Coronation and defeating the final boss. Be prepared – you’ll fight this boss as Damiane, so it’s a good idea to upgrade her abilities beforehand to make the battle easier.

After finishing this chapter, you’ll once again play as Kliff and can head to the Spire of Clockwork. There, you’ll try to solve its puzzle to climb to the top and enter the Abyss.

How to Climb the Spire of Clockwork in Crimson Desert (Puzzle Solution)

Now that you’ve gotten the key, make your way to the Spire of Clockwork, east of Demeniss City in the Crimson Desert. Because your inventory is shared between all your characters, you can use the key Damiane obtained to unlock the door to the Clockwork Spire.

When you first enter the Clockwork Spire, immediately jump and pull the yellow lever ahead of you. This will start the gears. Then, use those spinning gears to the left of the lever to climb up to the second floor.

Head to the second floor to find the second lever. You’ll need to jump and pull it down, just like you did with the first one, to start the gears that will take you to the top of the Clockwork Spire in Crimson Desert.

After pulling the lever, walk around the pillar, and you’ll see some gears you can climb to get to the higher parts of the Spire.

Okay, so once you get to the very top and that last spinning gear, you’ll need to jump across to the other side. But here’s a tip: instead of trying to climb on the gear itself, just use the ladder that goes up the side of it – it’s way easier!

Now that you’ve climbed higher, you’ll see two weighted tubes you can use to continue. Climbing one tube lowers it, while raising the other. Carefully time your jumps between the tubes to reach the top of the Clockwork Spire in Crimson Desert.

Once you’ve reached the top of the Spire of Clockwork, leave through the opening in the spinning dial. From there, head right onto the catwalk, which leads to a small elevator that will take you to the very top of the Spire.

In the Clockwork Spire of Crimson Desert, you can find an Abyss Gate. Interacting with it will take you to the Abyss realm where you’ll need to complete a series of puzzles.
