Splatoon 3 is hosting another Halloween-themed Splatfest, called Splatoween! Players can join a 48-hour event to decide which spooky theme is the best in the game.
Splatfests are a really fun part of the *Splatoon* games. Even though fans sometimes aren’t as excited about themes that have been used before, bringing them back can lead to surprising results. Players might switch to different teams, and changes to the game’s weapons can also affect how matches play out, creating a lot of unpredictability.
Splatoon 3 Brings Halloween Splatfest Back
Get ready for Splatoween! Splatoon 3 is bringing back its Halloween Splatfest on October 24th at 6 pm Pacific Time / 9 pm Eastern Time. The event will last for 48 hours, ending on October 26th at the same time. This year’s theme is a rematch from the first Halloween Splatfest in Splatoon 3: which spooky buddy would you choose – zombies, skeletons, or ghosts? You’ll be able to pick your team about a week before the event starts.
The recent Splatoon 3 Splatfest ended with Team Ghost winning, but the next one is anyone’s game. Not only might players switch up their strategies or team choices, but the way Splatfest results are calculated has also changed with the latest update (version 7.0). Previously, Team Zombies scored zero points in one Splatfest, but under the new system, their performance would have earned them 105 points. While that wouldn’t have guaranteed a win, it shows how unpredictable the outcome could be this time around.
Splatoween’s return will probably be a hit with players, but many are still excited about *Splatoon Raiders*. This spin-off game, featuring the idols from *Splatoon 3* and a new character, was announced for the Nintendo Switch 2, but we haven’t heard any updates since. With Nintendo planning big releases in 2025 like *Kirby Air Riders*, *Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment*, and *Metroid Prime 4: Beyond*, *Splatoon* fans might want to be patient – don’t expect major news about *Splatoon Raiders* until 2026.
