As a seasoned Splatoon 3 player with years of ink-splattering battles under my belt, I can confidently say that the August 2024 Starchy Foods Splatfest was a game-changer! Team Rice’s victory, led by the indomitable Frye, was not only a testament to their strategic prowess but also a well-deserved win. I’ve been a part of countless Turf Wars, and I must admit, I’ve never seen a team sweep the competition quite like this!

The August 2024 competition for Starchy Foods within the game ‘Splatoon 3’ has concluded, with Deep Cut’s Frye being crowned the champion. Team Rice triumphed in four categories and secured a 200-point victory over Team Pasta to emerge as winners in this food-themed contest. This event was the second-to-last Splatfest in ‘Splatoon 3’.

In the game Splatoon 3, there are semi-regular competitions called Splatfests, happening approximately every two weeks. These events have themes and players can back their favorite team, which often includes members from the band Deep Cut. After a Splatfest ends, participants receive cosmetic weapon and character outfit rewards, with the items earned depending on the team’s overall performance during the event. Unlike its predecessors, Splatoon 3 has three teams instead of two, mirroring the game’s title. So far, there have been 19 Splatfests in Splatoon 3, including popular seasonal events that take place every three to four months to coincide with real-life season changes.

Approximately a month following the Summer 2024 Splatfest, the August 2024 event in Splatoon 3 saw one team dominating most categories. The theme for this August Splatfest was starchy foods: Bread, Rice, and Pasta, each supported by Deep Cut members Shiver, Frye, and Big Man respectively. In the results, Team Pasta led at halftime in the Clout category with 33.72%, followed closely by Team Rice with 33.45% and Team Bread with 32.83%. With victories in four out of five categories, Team Rice emerged as the winner with a total of 460 points. Their wins were in Conch Shells, Votes, Clout (Open), Tricolor Turf War (also Open). This marked Frye from Deep Cut’s second victory in three Splatfests, having previously won during the May 2024 Bucket List Splatfest.

In the realm of ‘Splatoon 3’, Team Pasta secured a solitary triumph in the professional Clout category, boasting an impressive 34.65% lead. Conversely, Team Bread didn’t clinch any victories, but they managed to place second in both the professional Clout and Tricolor Turf War events. Despite Frye’s formidable presence, all teams need to stay alert as there’s another competition on the horizon. The Final Splatfest in September will center around themes of the Past, Present, and Future.

Despite regular updates for Splatoon 3 through periodic patches, there are whispers that Nintendo might be developing a new installment in the Splatoon series. They haven’t shared any official details about it yet.
