Fans of the Splinter Cell series have been eagerly awaiting a new installment for years, but Ubisoft hasn’t released a game in the franchise for over a decade. This has become frustrating for many, especially with constant rumors about a ‘Splinter Cell Remake’ that haven’t materialized into anything substantial.
Good news for fans: Sam Fisher is returning in a new form! He’s appearing in the VR game, Ghosts of Tabor, which is a ‘extraction shooter‘ – a type of game focused on infiltrating, collecting items, and escaping.

Okay, so as a gamer, I’m super excited about this! I always wanted to be Sam Fisher, and now it looks like I can! The team at Combat Waffle just dropped a trailer showing they’ve officially teamed up with Ubisoft to bring Fisher’s look and style to their VR shooter. It’s a dream come true to finally step into his shoes… or, you know, VR headset!
The ‘Splinter Cell DLC’ lets you play as Sam Fisher, but you’ll have to try and recreate Michael Ironside’s signature voice and tough demeanor yourself.
