Today, Hazelight Studios, creators of games like A Way Out and It Takes Two, showcased a fresh gameplay preview for their newest title, Split Fiction, emphasizing its cooperative gameplay aspects.
Besides the thrilling gameplay, the trailer tantalizingly hints at intriguing character subplots that I’ll be immersed in when the game launches later this year, from a fellow enthusiast’s perspective.
Split Fiction Aims To Continue Hazelight’s Co-Op Expertise
In the video, Josef Fares, founder of Hazelight Studios, discusses the cooperative elements that players will encounter in the game. Additionally, we are given a glimpse into the dynamic and varied gameplay styles expected in the upcoming game, which promises to add an exciting twist to gameplay.
Additionally, you’ll encounter “Side Quests,” standalone adventures hidden within the main storylines, which introduce new gameplay elements for a fresh experience.
As per Hazelight, the main story of Split Fiction offers a wide range of captivating sci-fi and fantasy scenarios. Additionally, you may stumble upon enigmatic portals that lead to unexplored, distinct worlds and locales. These discoveries are entirely optional and offer a fresh perspective on your journey.
According to the studio’s description, “Side Stories” represent unusual events taking place because Mio and Zoe find themselves trapped in the same virtual world. These portals are the simulation’s attempts to grab incomplete tales and concepts that Mio and Zoe penned during their youth, resulting in some bizarre, captivating, and disorderly predicaments.
Starting March 6th, Split Fiction will be available at $49.99 across all platforms including PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Plus, a friend can join you for free on any platform using the Friend’s Pass, and since it supports crossplay, everyone can participate regardless of their platform!
Just like the games “It Takes Two” and “A Way Out,” the game “Split Fiction” is designed exclusively for two players to enjoy together. It doesn’t support single-player mode because it is an entirely cooperative experience.
