This article contains spoilers for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4.
Fans of isekai anime have a lot to look forward to in the spring of 2026! Several popular series are returning, including Re:Zero, Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, and Ascendance of a Bookworm. Plus, Rimuru Tempest from That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime will be back for a fourth season.
After a long wait, Rimuru Tempest is finally making his dream a reality in Season 4 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. As the leader of the Jura Tempest Federation (often called Tempest), he’s determined to build a strong and lasting peace between monsters and humans, even though it won’t be easy.

Enter the Rosso Family
Rimuru Tempest has become incredibly successful in his new world, building a powerful nation, becoming a Demon Lord, and creating peace between humans and monsters. Now, he’s aiming even higher – he wants to join the mostly-human Council of the West to spread his idea of everyone living together peacefully.
This is a risky plan, because the Western Council actively opposes Rimuru’s goals. The council is heavily influenced by the manipulative Rosso family, who previously caused trouble for Tempest during the events of the Founder’s Festival in season three of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.
I’ll crush the enemy. Nothing more, nothing less—Rimuru Tempest
Season 4 will feature the Rosso Family as major antagonists, rather than allies of Rimuru. Mariabell Rosso will be a key player, masterminding plots that Rimuru must overcome. As Rimuru faces these new enemies, he’ll also be forging alliances with new companions.
The fourth season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime will adapt three different story arcs. Viewers will have to watch to find out exactly how Rimuru’s story progresses through them all.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 to Last Over a Year
Slime Season 4 to Run in Five Parts
I’ve been watching anime for a while, and it’s not often you see one go on for over a year. But it’s happening with That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime! They’ve announced Season 4 will have five parts, or ‘cours,’ and if each part has the usual 12 episodes, that means we’re looking at a whopping 60 new episodes! Get ready for a lot more adventures with Rimuru Tempest – it’s going to be a long, slime-filled ride.
As previously announced, the first half of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 will be released all at once, without any pauses between episodes. This means the season’s first 24 episodes will air consecutively, giving fans uninterrupted access to Rimuru’s story and incredible abilities in the new world.
