During the interview, the creator of “Squid Game” shared his plans for the series, confirming that “Season 3 will indeed mark its conclusion.” He intended to depict ruthless competition in capitalist society in Season 1. In Season 2, he aimed to portray how a character like Gi-hun could defy the game’s rules by instigating a revolution against the system. In its third season, he wanted to explore how one can retain their humanity amidst harsh conditions where fear and survival instincts are dominant. Dong-hyuk mentioned they want to convey a message in “Squid Game’s” final run, urging viewers to “maintain their human qualities amidst intense competition.” The presence of the baby in such a grim setting could play a significant role in this.
