As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent traversing the digital landscapes of various titles, I must say that STALKER 2 has undeniably left an indelible mark on my gaming journey. The game’s immersive storyline, haunting atmosphere, and intricate mechanics have captivated me since its release.
As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve just learned about an update for STALKER 2, which was rolled out by GSC. This latest tweak tackles various glitches including memory leaks, controls malfunctions, AI behaviors, and mission-related issues. It marks the third adjustment since its launch on November 20th, demonstrating GSC’s commitment to continually improve the game based on feedback and reviews that have been somewhat mixed.
From my perspective, STALKER 2 is simply outstanding – my take on the game was extremely positive. To be truthful, most – if not all – of the problems addressed in this recent update, I haven’t encountered personally, but perhaps you have.

Crashes and Memory Leaks
- Multiple ACCESS_VIOLATION_ERROR fixes
- Multiple LowLevelFatalError crash fixes
Control Adjustments
Based on your suggestions, we’ve made changes to certain settings to minimize delay when using a keyboard and mouse.
- Mouse Smoothing is disabled by default
- Mouse Acceleration is disabled by default
Furthermore, the default settings for mouse sensitivity have been adjusted to provide a consistent default gaming experience for our users. The changes involve modifying two specific parameters as detailed below:
- Camera sensitivity: 25%
- Aim sensitivity: 15%
Main and Side Missions
- Fixed issue with ___ that were able to chase player outside during the In Search of Past Glory mission
- Fixed an issue where the NPCs ___ would die after trying to enter a building during the mission On the Edge
- Fixed issue with ___ which could despawn before player loots a collar from it during In the Name of Science mission
- Fixed issue with player potentially locking oneself during Dangerous Liaisons mission
- Fixed issue with ___ becoming hostile upon noticing a player ___ during King of the Hill mission
- Fixed an issue when ___ despawns in front of the player after the dialog in the bunker during A Heavy Burden mission
- Fixed issue with NPC’s despawning when player successfully finishes Legends of the Zone mission
AI
- Fixed an issue with mutant bodies stretching after a shot from an automatic weapon
- Fixed an issue that caused NPCs to block the doors during the Back to the Slag Heap mission
Balance
- Fixed issue with ___ not selling certain ammo types
