As Star Wars Day approaches, Aspyr Media has unveiled the “Star Wars: Grand Collection,” which offers nine games spanning various chapters of the franchise’s rich history in one package. With updates on future releases like the remake of Knights of the Old Republic and Respawn’s third Jedi title still thin on the ground, this collection provides a fantastic opportunity for fans to revisit a galaxy far, far away by replaying some timeless Star Wars titles. Among these are several classic games that have left an indelible mark on Star Wars enthusiasts.
This year on May 4th, numerous game developers are launching substantial promotions in anticipation. The Epic Games Store is hosting a massive sale of Star Wars games, with certain titles being discounted up to 85%. Now, Aspyr Media, known for remaking and re-releasing older Star Wars titles such as the Battlefront Classic Collection, has jumped into the celebration too.
Aspyr recently revealed the “Star Wars: Grand Collection” in a promotional video, guaranteeing gamers access to nine beloved “Star Wars” titles for $89.99. This bundle is currently up for grabs on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The selection boasts popular “Star Wars” games known for their exceptional lightsaber combat, such as “The Force Unleashed” and “Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast”. Notably, this collection encompasses both editions of the original “Knights of the Old Republic” games. However, it’s important to note that only the Switch version includes “KOTOR” and “KOTOR 2”.
All Games Included in Star Wars: Grand Collection
- Star Wars: Bounty Hunter
- Star Wars: Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles
- Star Wars: Episode 1 Racer
- Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
- Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
- Star Wars: Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords
- Star Wars: Republic Commando
The official listing for the Grand Collection on PlayStation Store doesn’t feature the KOTOR games, yet it retails at $89.99. However, PlayStation Plus members can grab it for $44.99 until June 6, 2025. Fans who missed out on the KOTOR series can also benefit from the Steam Star Wars Day Sale in 2025, where they’re available for just $2.49 each. Regrettably, this doesn’t sit well with PS5 and PS4 users, considering that the collection’s standard price matches Switch’s but includes two additional games—games that are highly acclaimed within the Star Wars franchise as well.
It’s not shocking that KOTOR and KOTOR 2 aren’t available on PlayStation because neither game was previously released for the platform. However, gamers who own both consoles might find it advantageous to opt for the Switch version of the collection for a better value, unless they also have a PS Plus subscription and can benefit from the discount. Notably, Nintendo has just updated the Switch Version 20.0.0, which should eliminate any crashing problems now.
