Star Wars & Marvel Are Coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley!

In the upcoming update for Disney Dreamlight Valley, there seems to be a strong emphasis on Alice’s Wonderland, yet items from a distant galaxy (Star Wars) are also set to arrive in the Valley concurrently. For quite some time, players have been buzzing with speculation about the integration of Alice’s Wonderland and Star Wars content into Disney Dreamlight Valley. Now, it appears that these rumors will soon materialize as both sets of content have officially been confirmed.

The exciting update, titled “Wonderland Whimsy,” is set to arrive in Disney Dreamlight Valley on the 23rd of April. This update introduces a fresh element to the game called the Uncrafting Station, similar in functionality to the Dreamlight Stompers from the April Fools’ Day prank. The duo joining the valley are none other than Alice and the Cheshire Cat, and it also signifies the introduction of a new Star Path, the “Garden of Whimsy Star Path.” This new pathway boasts a unique Minnie Mouse Dreamstyle and an innovative Premium pet companion. Furthermore, players can expect a variety of Wonderland-themed clothing items, as well as enhancements to the overall gameplay experience.

Star Wars Content is Headed to the Valley

One interesting aspect of the Wonderland Whimsy update for Disney Dreamlight Valley is that content from Star Wars will be integrated into the game. Players can look forward to purchasing various Star Wars items in the Premium Shop, such as Jedi robes, a lightsaber hand accessory with a pose for photographs, and even R2D2. This lovable droid will function as a Companion, bringing joy to Star Wars fans who have always dreamed of having their own droid. These items are expected to be available just before May 4, enabling Disney Dreamlight Valley players to commemorate Star Wars Day in an extraordinary way; however, the exact release date is still pending announcement.

In terms of characters, only those from movies produced by Walt Disney Animation or Pixar Studios have been included in Disney Dreamlight Valley. However, the game has drawn inspiration from sources beyond these two studios for elements like furniture, clothing, themes, and so on. Notably, there are numerous items reminiscent of Disney Parks and movies like Hocus Pocus, which were originally aired on the Disney Channel. Even though parks and Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOMs) are beloved by fans of Disney Dreamlight Valley, Star Wars enjoys an even wider fanbase, and the upcoming introduction of Star Wars-themed items suggests that it might not be long before Marvel also appears in the Valley.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Should Line the MCU Up to Bat

It’s reasonable to assume that along with Star Wars items in Disney Dreamlight Valley, there might also be plans for Marvel content from Gameloft and Disney. An intriguing possibility is that Disney Dreamlight Valley could commemorate National Superhero Day on April 28 by introducing Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) content. Another option is for the game to celebrate one of Marvel’s influential creators by releasing content related to Jack Kirby’s birthday on August 28 or Stan Lee’s birthday on December 28.

A more suitable approach for incorporating Marvel content into Disney Dreamlight Valley could be by revisiting its original foundation. It’s easy to overlook that Big Hero 6, despite being a film, is based on a Marvel comic. Introducing characters from Big Hero 6 aligns with the game’s focus on populating its roster using films produced by Walt Disney Animation or Pixar Studios. Moreover, this move would offer Disney Dreamlight Valley a justification to introduce Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) items, making them available both in the Star Path and the Premium Shop.
