Star Wars Outlaws Offering Free Rewards to Players Impacted By Save Issues

As a seasoned gamer with a heart full of nostalgia for the Star Wars universe, I’ve been eagerly anticipating Ubisoft’s latest offering, Star Wars Outlaws. Having dived into early access thanks to my Gold Edition, I was both excited and apprehensive about what awaited me in this new galaxy far, far away.

In their latest open-world game titled “Star Wars Outlaws“, Ubisoft is rewarding players with complimentary in-game goods for the technical issues that disrupted the initial release of the game. Despite its official launch on August 30, enthusiasts have been exploring the expanses of Massive Entertainment’s universe prematurely, thanks to the early access provided by special editions of this action-adventure title.

Between the storylines of “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi,” “Outlaws” serves as a new installment in the “Star Wars” saga. Although the general public must be patient until the official release to embark on this adventure, those who pre-ordered the Gold Edition for $109.99 or the Ultimate Edition for $129.99 can dive in immediately. However, it seems that playing “Outlaws” during early access isn’t entirely smooth sailing, as publisher Ubisoft has stepped forward to address and rectify the technical problems encountered by players.

Players of Star Wars Outlaws are being given in-game perks, specifically a Trailbrazer trinket and 100 Ubisoft Connect points, as a form of compensation for the troubles experienced by players during the early access phase of the game. Specifically, one of the main problems with the game earlier was what Ubisoft referred to as “progression blockers,” which prevented players from saving their in-game advancement. The updated version 1.000.002 of Star Wars Outlaws has now resolved these issues and recommends PS5 players to create a new save file to minimize the risk of losing story progress.

Star Wars Outlaws Free Rewards for Early Access Players

  • Trailblazer trinket
  • 100 Ubisoft Connect units

Players who were asked to restart their game save have now received another email from Ubisoft detailing the compensation they will receive. In the game, a trinket can be claimed from a crate at the back of the Trailblazer once you reach Toshara, a new location in Star Wars: Outlaws. On the other hand, the Ubisoft Connect points earned by players can be used to unlock in-game rewards and discounts on the Ubisoft Store. According to the official website, these loyalty points are automatically credited to your account and remain valid for 24 months.

It’s clear that some technical glitches during the pre-release phase have potentially hindered the excitement for Star Wars Outlaws. Regrettably, those who purchased early access versions of the game have encountered problems that might have negatively impacted their gaming experience. Fingers crossed that these issues are a one-time occurrence and that Star Wars Outlaws, which has generally received positive feedback, launches in the smoothest way possible on its release day.
