Star Wars Outlaws: They Live Up To The Name Achievement Guide

As a seasoned Star Wars gamer with countless hours spent navigating the galaxy far, far away, I must say that the latest addition to my collection, Star Wars Outlaws, has truly captured my imagination. The game’s focus on the criminal underworld and its interactions with the ever-looming Empire is an intriguing twist that keeps me on the edge of my seat.

Mostly, the narrative of Star Wars Outlaws revolves around Kay and her dealings within the lawless corners of the cosmos, where you’ll often find yourself aligning or clashing with significant criminal syndicates. However, it’s important to note that despite this, the Empire remains a dominant force throughout the galaxy, and its influence is palpable in the game.

Engaging in conflicts with the Empire might lead to a Wanted status, escalating into a widespread manhunt that makes navigating planets quite challenging. As a significant threat, you’ll attract Death Troopers and set off a special event. This event could potentially earn players an achievement.

Where To Find Death Troopers In Star Wars Outlaws

Death Troopers don’t roam around looking for targets; instead, they’re summoned when someone is being hunted. This means that your actions might lead to their appearance, so it’s essential to be aware and prepared. Before you reach that point, make sure to gather supplies and get ready for a confrontation. The planet’s inhabitants will become significantly more aggressive if you are attempting to eliminate the Death Troopers.

To reach the highest wanted level, you should eliminate several stormtroopers and officers in front of witnesses. It’s wiser to make your way towards an Imperial stronghold, as engaging in battles there will trigger alarms and alert all enemies to your presence. Your wanted level will be displayed by bars surrounding the Imperial symbol, with additional bars appearing as you kill more enemies and are seen doing so.

Whenever my criminal record hits its peak, I’ll receive an alert that a manhunt is underway, and my wanted level will remain at its maximum. To clear my name, I can either bribe an Imperial officer, meet my end, or eliminate the newly arrived Death Troopers who are hot on my trail. As the Death Trooper event materializes on-screen, a gauge displaying my distance to these formidable foes appears just below. Not only that, but their precise location is pinpointed on the map for easier tracking.

How To Kill Death Troopers

In the course of a manhunt, roads will be blocked by barriers, and there will be imperial guards stationed all around searching for you. If you manage to reach the location of the Death Troopers, you’ll find not one but three of them accompanied by an officer. It’s often wiser to seek out a nearby patrol and try to get them to equip you with a more powerful weapon than your blaster and some healing Bacta vials, as Death Troopers have substantial health and can inflict just as much damage on you.

It’s advisable to tackle Death Troopers individually, or at least prioritize taking them out one by one since it requires nearly two full magazines of your blaster ammunition to eliminate just one. Inside the tent they are using as a base, you might find a cache of E-11s that could potentially be snuck into and used against them, as only a few shots from these weapons will bring them down.

After overcoming both the Death Troopers and their commander, pick up the key card they leave behind. This key card will help you clear your wanted status, bring an end to the manhunt, and unlock the They Live Up To The Name achievement.
