As a seasoned Star Wars enthusiast with countless hours spent navigating the galaxy far, far away, I can confidently say that the upcoming adventure, Star Wars Outlaws, has piqued my interest more than any other recent addition to the franchise. The unique characters, particularly ND-5, have me eager to embark on this thrilling journey in the criminal underworld.

In the upcoming Star Wars adventure by Massive Entertainment, titled Star Wars Outlaws, a multitude of captivating characters are introduced, yet one Droid named ND-5 has sparked intrigue among fans who have affectionately dubbed him “hot”. The game is set across vast landscapes and pivotal locations that bridge the gap between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Players will assume the role of rogue Kay Vess, who will navigate through the criminal underworld of the galaxy in Star Wars Outlaws, encountering dangerous adversaries and heart-racing missions.

Luckily for Vess, she doesn’t have to venture into the perilous planet of Tatooine or unfamiliar places like Toshara by herself. Instead, Nix, a cute yet mischievous little salamander-like creature that belongs to Kay and travels with her, steps in to assist when needed. Nix retrieves weapons for Vess during tough situations and creates diversions, allowing her to evade enemies unnoticed. Along the way, players will encounter other characters such as Vail the bounty hunter, Lady Qi’ra, and Jabba the Hutt. However, it’s one Droid who joins Vess’ team that has everyone swooning over the internet.

According to Games Hub, it appears that the character ND-5 from Star Wars Outlaws has sparked a frenzy among fans on the internet, with some becoming quite passionate towards this Commando droid. Originally created by the Separatists during the Clone Wars, ND-5 is now set to join Kay Vess’ crew for a crucial heist. Khavari, the person behind the character, expressed surprise about the level of interest in ND-5, stating, “If anyone claims they expected this, they’re not telling the truth. I feel quite certain about that. I remember the tweets began to surface, and I messaged [Rincon] saying ‘Jay, prepare yourself’.” Jay Rincon portrays ND-5 in Star Wars Outlaws and was taken aback by the fan reaction towards this sci-fi character, as he himself is still trying to comprehend it.

Star Wars Outlaw’s ND-5 Becomes The Internet’s “Hot Droid”

Rincon exclaimed, “Gosh, I can’t believe this is happening!” as he watched. Amazingly, the concept of the ‘Hot Droid’ spread more rapidly than Kay Vess’ speeding vehicle. Fortunately, Rincon has handled the adoration for ND-5 gracefully, but he doesn’t share the fans’ opinion about it being a ‘Hot Droid.’ Rincon clarified, “The term ‘sexy,’ or anything similar, was never used. The artwork was incredible, I was amazed when I first saw it and it definitely influenced where we ended up. However, there’s nothing sexy about wearing the tight suit with all the markings on, and that strange fishnet.”

The topic of character appearances in Star Wars Outlaw has become a bit contentious recently, particularly concerning Kay Vess, who faced harsh criticism about her attractiveness. This sparked heated debates among players, some even labeling her as “unattractive.” However, the creative director defended Vess by saying she was designed to be an “approachable character,” emphasizing that the studio aimed to produce a fantastic game for players’ enjoyment. Interestingly, something unexpected happened: the narrative director, Navid Khavari, didn’t anticipate the overwhelming affection players would have for the modified BX Commando droid, ND-5.

Players are free to delve into various Star Wars planets such as Tatooine, Cantonica, Kijimi, Akiva, and Toshara at their leisure, immersing themselves in a vibrant array of worlds reminiscent of the Star Wars universe. A break from the exploration can be taken by indulging in an assortment of mini-games offered by Star Wars Outlaws.
