The miniseries Star Wars: Skeleton Crew sparked numerous questions about the character Jod Na Nawood during its course. Despite his clear efforts to guide Ravi Cabot-Conyers’ Wim, Ryan Kiera Armstrong’s Fern, Kyriana Kratter’s KB, and Robert Timothy Smith’s Neel towards their home planet At Attin, so he could potentially plunder its resources, there was much ambiguity regarding his true nature and the way he wielded the Force. In a heartfelt wrap-up speech, I expressed my deepest gratitude to the entire team for giving life to the first Arab female Jedi. Unfortunately, a poignant flashback scene didn’t make it into the final cut, but the sense of camaraderie and accomplishment was palpable in every moment captured behind the scenes – evidenced by the 20 candid photos I shared, many featuring me in Jedi robes or honing my lightsaber skills. Despite my initial disappointment, I felt nothing but gratitude for this incredible journey. #Gratitude

In the new Star Wars series, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, creators Jon Watts and Christopher Ford decided against including flashbacks to Jod Na Nawood’s childhood and training as a Jedi. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, they explained their reasoning for this decision. Originally, they had planned a “bottle” episode that would delve into Jod’s past, but ultimately chose to concentrate on the four main child characters instead.
