Stardew Valley Player Spooked by NPC Behavior
A player named Sarlox_1 posted a strange experience on Reddit after playing Stardew Valley. They noticed the villagers of Pelican Town behaving oddly after midnight, when they should have been asleep. The clip, which has since been removed, showed Clint standing blankly near the town bridge. As the player went towards their farm, the Mayor suddenly appeared. When the player tried a different route, they found Robin and Pam walking in circles near the community center, then heading straight up the cliff. Running back, the player saw Clint frozen next to a bush, and several villagers lined up where the Mayor had been, with Pam falling off the cliff to join them.
The strange video quickly gained a lot of attention, with many viewers saying it was creepy. Most people were puzzled about what caused it. Some joked that it was normal behavior for the townspeople after the player character falls asleep at 2 am each night. The person who posted the video pointed out it happened after the Desert Festival in Stardew Valley, which does cause some residents to return home very late. However, they usually go directly to their houses, so it’s unclear why the game’s navigation system malfunctioned so severely.
This strange glitch isn’t new to Stardew Valley, and it doesn’t seem to cause any problems with playing the game. It’s definitely a memorable experience, and some players are relieved it hasn’t happened to them.
