In a recent social media post, the creator of Stardew Valley, ConcernedApe, revealed that an upcoming patch for the Nintendo Switch version of the game will address the divorce bug and the raccoon shop issue. Despite already fixing similar problems on PC, mobile, and Xbox platforms, this update has yet to be rolled out for Nintendo’s console.
Ever since its debut in 2016, “Stardew Valley” has experienced multiple alterations and enhancements. This game swiftly captivated gamers with its offbeat play mechanics and endearing pixel art aesthetic, while its laid-back and engaging dynamics have kept it highly relevant up until now. The developer, ConcernedApe, has been diligent about updating the game not just to introduce fresh content for players, but also to rectify various bugs and concerns raised by the community. Recently, a longstanding problem is set to be resolved with an update that is almost ready for launch on the Nintendo Switch console.
As a devoted Stardew Valley gamer, I’m excitedly awaiting the upcoming patch from our developer, ConcernedApe, which is still on its way. He hasn’t given us an exact date yet, but he ensures us that it will be out as soon as humanly possible. After the release of update 1.6, many players, including me, encountered issues like the divorce crash and troubles with the raccoon shop, which have already been sorted out on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Back around Christmas, ConcernedApe shared that this Switch patch was in the works, and now, about 20 days later, it seems to be close to being released. I can hardly wait!
Stardew Valley Switch Patch Fixing Divorce Crash and Raccoon Shop Coming Soon
In March, the significant update 1.6 for Stardew Valley was rolled out on PC, enriching players’ experience with a host of new elements. These include expanded conversations with NPCs who now offer personalized responses to gifts, a fresh farm option called Meadowlands Farm, and novel festivals and events. The update further boasts visual enhancements, such as waterfalls, holiday decorations, and seasonally varying world map designs.
Despite the fact that update 1.6 significantly addressed numerous gameplay problems, subsequent patches unwittingly introduced fresh challenges. Update 1.6 was launched for console and mobile versions in November; however, players promptly identified various issues, such as severe game-halting bugs. An urgent patch was deployed for Stardew Valley‘s mobile version on November 15, while the developer continued troubleshooting fixes across different platforms.
The Stardew Valley community has shown happiness over ConcernedApe’s open dialogue and swift handling of player issues. Although a patch addressing the divorce crash and the raccoon shop on Switch hasn’t been released yet, players can feel confident that the developer is diligently working to make it available soon.
