As a huge Stardew Valley fan, I was blown away by this gift I got for Christmas! Someone made an amazing 3D-printed dock holder for the new Nintendo Switch 2, and it’s completely themed around the game. Honestly, any Stardew Valley player with a Switch 2 would absolutely love it!
Stardew Valley is now available directly on the Nintendo Switch 2, but the launch hasn’t been entirely smooth. After players reported some problems, the game’s creator, ConcernedApe, quickly released an update to fix issues with playing online with friends. While the update helped, the developers are still working to resolve a few remaining bugs.

Just in time for Christmas, and with Stardew Valley launching on the new Switch 2 on December 25th, one fan received an amazing gift. A player named gankotsu shared a picture with the Stardew Valley community of a custom Switch 2 dock holder made by their husband. It’s a miniature recreation of a typical player farm – a little diorama that fans will instantly recognize! Every part of the dock is sculpted in 3D, making it both useful for docking the Switch 2 and a beautiful piece of art to display.
Beyond the farmhouse, players will find lots of fun details referencing Stardew Valley. You might notice a duck swimming in a pond near a Crab Pot, and a Furnace working next to a small patch of cauliflower. The sell chest is where you’d expect it, right by the front door, with a regular tree and a Mushroom Tree flanking the house. A Mystery Box floats above, held up by a balloon. The artist took a little creative license with the crops, though – cauliflower and carrots are Spring plants, while the pumpkin shown actually grows in the Fall.
Fans of the game Stardew Valley are loving a unique gift that perfectly captures the game’s spirit. Many wish they had one themselves, and were a little envious of the person who originally shared it! While hinting for one as a present might be tricky, it’s actually available for purchase. One user mentioned their spouse bought it on Etsy, and a quick search confirms it’s there for $81.24. It’s made using a 3D printer and PLA plastic. If you’re thinking of buying one, keep in mind there are two sizes – one for the original Switch and another for the newer Switch 2.
Stardew Valley Arrives Natively on Switch 2
Despite a few early problems with bugs and online play, fans are generally happy with the new Switch 2 version of Stardew Valley. This version adds some great features, including support for up to 8 players, mouse functionality with the Joy-Cons, and the Switch 2’s GameShare feature. GameShare is particularly exciting because it lets up to three friends play along with you without needing to buy their own copy of the $14.99 game on the Nintendo eShop. This makes Stardew Valley more accessible than ever, letting friends try it out before deciding if they want to purchase it themselves.
With both the 1.7 update for Stardew Valley and the ongoing development of Haunted Chocolatier, players can likely expect exciting new games from ConcernedApe on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
