The farming and life simulation game *Fields of Mistria*, similar to *Stardew Valley*, has revealed its updated development plan, outlining features planned through 2026. As the game nears its full 1.0 release, players can look forward to many new additions and improvements they’ve requested.
People often compare *Stardew Valley* and *Fields of Mistria*, but they’re quite different games. *Fields of Mistria* focuses more on role-playing game features and has a style similar to anime, while *Stardew Valley* lets you build deeper relationships with the characters. The developers of *Fields of Mistria* are planning to add more social features to their game soon.
Fields of Mistria Outlines Path Through 2026
Fields of Mistria is planning two major updates! Update 4, called the Mines update, is coming in early 2026 and will finish the Mines storyline with a new area, monsters, a quest, and a new spell. Update 5 will be the official 1.0 release, marking the end of early access. Beyond the Mines, players can look forward to dating a new character with a special 8-heart event, expanded dialogue and routines for existing characters, and new character customization options like Skill Perks, pet appearances, and decorations. Smaller additions like apiaries, terrariums, new bugs, fish, and performance improvements are also on the way.
The upcoming 1.0 update will bring several highly requested features to the game. Players will be able to deepen relationships with NPCs in *Fields of Mistria*, potentially leading to marriage and having children. We’re also raising the Renown level cap to 100 and adding more town repair quests and requests. Expect new museum collections, completion of the town repair storyline, additional skill perks, and a wider variety of decorative items, cosmetics, and mount skins. We’ll also be adding achievements and making improvements to game balance and performance.

The creators of *Fields of Mistria* initially aimed to fully release the game (version 1.0) within a year of its early access launch, but now expect it to arrive in 2026. They want to incorporate player feedback and ensure the final version meets their vision without requiring excessive overtime. Plus, they plan to continue adding new content and surprises to the game even after the 1.0 release, meaning players have a lot to look forward to in the coming year.
