Starfield animated anthology gets a new episode for Shattered Space expansion

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I must say the anticipation for Starfield’s Shattered Space expansion has been palpable. Having traversed countless galaxies and saved (or doomed) civilizations aplenty, I can confidently say that this new adventure promises to be nothing short of extraordinary.

On September 30th, the latest Starfield expansion, titled “Shattered Space,” will be available, and a fresh installment of its animated series has already been unveiled.

If you’re not sure, let me remind you that the animated anthology was actually a three-part series preceding the launch of Starfield in September. The latest installment is titled “All Must Serve”. As Bethesda explains in the video, it focuses on a young Va’ruun child who attends a ceremony at the Scaled Citadel. However, when an unfortunate event devastates a significant portion of the Va’ruun capital city, the members of House Va’ruun are forced to work hard to rebuild and recover from the disaster.

Check out the new episode, below:

For the first time in Shattered Space, players will journey to the original residence of House Va’ruun. Delve into a freshly designed setting and untangle the enigmas surrounding the devotees of the Grand Serpent. On the verge of disintegration, House Va’ruun is seeking aid to chart a new course. When your unexpected arrival on their concealed home planet is perceived as a divine omen by some, it falls upon you to rebuild House Va’ruun and determine the destiny of this clandestine group.

Upon reaching Va’ruun’kai, you find the capital city in turmoil. A colossal vortex has wreaked havoc on Dazra, consuming vast portions of the city. The locals are frantically searching for lost relatives and trying to rebuild their lives, and they appear less than welcoming towards your arrival.

During your exploration through Shattered Space, you’ll discover the origin of the vortex, learn about those who vanished within it, and ultimately determine who will guide House Va’ruun as their leader.

In our assessment of Starfield, we pointed out: “Given the game’s massive scale, these problems are minor. I haven’t enjoyed a game as much as I have with Starfield since Elden Ring last year, and the excitement of exploration that FromSoftware’s epic fantasy offered has been rekindled. I anticipate spending a lot of time with Starfield, and I can hardly wait to share experiences and discoveries with friends. Visually stunning, it outshines previous studio creations, paving the way for a promising future. There seems to be no limit to the kind of character you can create, so if you’re hesitant, go ahead and download it onto your Xbox immediately.

Shattered Space launches on September 30 for Xbox Series X|S and PC.
